In an unfortunate series of events this week I found some amazing people, unfortunately Green Flag were not amongst them!
On the way to Bristol airport I had a tyre blow out on a quiet country road 10 minutes from the airport. I immediately called Green Flag, explained my 11 year old son and I were due to catch a flight at 1.00pm and the operator on the phone was pleasant and efficient telling me he would prioritise my call so I could make my flight. I got a text a few minutes later telling me it would be 1 hour until a technician got to me. I was disappointed but thought ok I still have time to get there. After 20 minutes a technician rang me to say he would be with me in 10 minutes. " Great" I said. 20 minutes later I was not feeling so great and was about to ring Green Flag again when I got another text saying a different technician would now be with me in a further hour and a half , after my flight had left!!!!!
With an upset child and my stress levels soaring by the minute I was lucky enough to be found by a local police patrol who, along with my airport parking operators arranged to pick us up and take us to the airport and wait for Green Flag and instruct them to take the car to a local garage to be fixed. They would then collect it and take it to the car park for my return!
We made our flight by minutes thanks to all these people. It's just a shame Green Flag couldn't have done their part!!!!
