Not good for Service Merchants

GroupOn sucks for businesses providing services. They push you to do large discounts, then they add random discounts without informing the merchant. By the time they take their cut, you're loosing money.

GroupOn customers are generally trash. Small or no tips. Expect GroupOn price all the time.

Submitted support tickets twice to put an end-date on our campaign. Ticket closed, nothing done. Called support to pause our campaign. Finally took effect a couple days later. No idea who our account manager is as the email of the original one bounced. Doesn't seem to be a way to terminate the relationship.

Similar story as everyone else here…

Similar story as everyone else here (that has a small business). They pester you to sign up, promise big, but can't prove they deliver. They 'help' you by turning things on, but don't tell you how to turn it off. Hard to find how to turn off your ad. Then there and addition change 'below the fold', so they get more of your money until you figure that out. Charge for every little thing.

They won't post reviews, even those from people who have left lots of reviews. I suspect that if you keep shoveling money at them, they'll eventually show something. I can understand not posting reviews from people who have only 1 or 2 reviews.

Plenty of other choices.

A service nobody asked for

Received a registration for an annual business license which I took care of two months ago through the state website. They wanted to charge me $135 to pay for a $50 fee. I wonder how many small business owners double-pay because they are immigrants and don't understand.

Update: I no longer have the mailing. But I also cannot find anything about a company named "Fast Filing Services". I will let this stand for now. If I get further information in the future, I will update this as appropriate.

More made up data

Another order from the vendor. This time the tracking company said the package orignated from Croatia (not China) and is currently in Corvallis Oregon. I live in Virginia. I think they use a random city generator to fill in the data.

Tracking data totally fabricated.

I was given a tracking link from a vendor through this company. I don't know why they just don't give the real tracking info. Anyway...

The tracking from this company said the package was originating from Belgium (when I thought it was coming from China). The updates were vague, and at some point it was obvious that they were made up. I went back to the merchandise vendor and they gave me a different tracking through a different company that was actually accurate (just not timely) with origination from China.

Order is what I wanted. The shipment tracking is horrid.

I just received 4 shirts that I ordered. It felt like a bit of a risk. But they have some cool designs and it's a big upgrade from T-shirts. My shirts are in the laundry so I can wear one to work today and up my cool shirt cred.

They initially sent me a tracking link from a company named tracking-hub.com that said my package was coming out of Belgium. This surprised me. But at some point, it became obvious that the tracking was bogus.

I wrote a short email to Purshoadex and they gave me a link to 17track.net which gave origination from China, which was more believable. The 17track.net is accurate, just not timely. They are a day or two behind.

Nice designs, terrible search

I like TeePublic designs, just hard to find them. The only thing that I really dislike is that the search results often have a lot of irrelevant results. For example, searching for "Mr robot" returns 231 pages. So things I might be interested in are lost in the cruft.

Often I find designs by accident. So if I see an item I like, I often can't find it again.

Missing obvious functionality and hard to browse

Cafe Press has been around a long time. I bought an item (Koi coaster) and when it arrived, I wasn't really happy with the artistry. Looks like they took a nicely shaded drawing of a Koi and slapped colored spots (no shading) for coloring. I'm making a custom piece of furniture and need something that is well done.

I went to my Order History so I could go back to the item to see if I could leave a comment on the item. The order history has everything but the item I ordered. Not even a decent description. I searched for the name of the seller and that came up empty. When I did find it, I found that there is no place to leave comments for the design or the seller or a way to contact the seller.

I found an artist that does nice stuff and I'll probably order something from his collection. Browsing it was hard. There are over 800 items listed when in reality, there are maybe 25 different items and tons of color options. I had to go through the entire list to make sure I'd seen all the possible designs a few at a time. If I went to look at an item and used the back button on my browser, I ended up at beginning of the list again.
