Bad ‘service’…

Untill today, July 24th 2025, I never received an e-mail.
Below are our experiences during our stay at Playa Lechi #12, Bonaire, April 2025.
Beautifully located apartment, stunning view, but…
No check-in, no one saw us during our stay.
Not even at check-out.
Not very hospitable…
VRBO (Bonaire) is very difficult to reach.
No email address, no phone number.
No welcome note in the apartment, just a few regulations with do's and don'ts.
We had to buy all the "basics": garbage bags, dish soap, toilet paper, etc.
A half roll of toilet paper was provided in each restroom upon arrival.
Tip:
Set out a box with these items for the duration of your guests' stay.
Includes a nice bottle of wine and a welcome card as a welcome gift!
No explanation of the appliances. I had to figure everything out myself (washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, etc.).
I discovered halfway through our stay what some strange little blocks were for...
The fan on the balcony was broken.
Really incredibly slow/poor internet.
We regularly had to use (expensive) roaming services for downloads.
No signal at all in the bedroom or balcony.
The shower heads in the bathrooms couldn't be adjusted.
With my height, I had to bend my knees quite a bit to wash my hair.
Replace these shower heads with decent adjustable shower heads, or install a high, fixed shower head.
After a few days, we discovered that we also had a key to the gate leading directly to the boulevard.
On the first day, the downstairs neighbor already mentioned how noisy it was.
Especially the moving of (patio) furniture (even during the day).
So, we were asked not to do this...
Bath mats absolutely filthy (mold?).
A $150 cleaning fee?
We paid a $315.81 service fee.
What service?
For 10 days, we paid almost $3,000.
Absolutely not a 9.8 rating.

Previously booked another apartment with you for this period.
Photos suggested there was a swimming pool at the apartment.
That was actually a pool at a hotel further down the road, which we were able to use (after a considerable detour).
With great difficulty, we were able to cancel this reservation and make the aforementioned reservation.
