Mixed review…
I just want to put a review out there for different/mixed experiences. First of all, I have had a not at fault many years ago, and two glass (windshield) claims. During all of my dealings with TD most of the representatives have always tried to help and understand, and claims were not an issue. The not at fault was a bit of a pain only because the adjudicator had a heavy case load and never answered the phone. Sometimes it took up to three days to get a response, but sometimes quicker. Yet saying that, I was paid above fair for my car and I believe everything was settled in under four weeks. Another con is the present home insurance. I did not want to go with a different company but my renewal premium for home was raised 50% this month through no fault of my own, and they said they could not price match…so I am now signed on with Intact for my renewal in September and let the TD representative know today. She responded with empathy and grace. I could not have asked for a better person to handle the call. Afterwards I was looking at reviews for Intact and note they also have horrible reviews. I am sincerely hoping that a lot of people with no issues aren’t posting their good experiences, as three of my family members have my new insurance…I did not want to leave TD and only did so because of the massive price increase. I suspect the same will happen with other companies soon.
