It was a bright summer’s day when the ship pulled into port. Salt filled the air and the channel churned calmly as the hustle and bustle of the pier went on above. It was certainly a beautiful time of year to visit the south of England, especially to get some much needed fresh air outside of London’s smog filled streets.
Out of a thousand faces in the crowd, Ryuunosuke and Susato were searching for two in particular, though it had been nearly two years since they’ve last seen them— and that was when Sholmes and Iris surprised them both in Yokohama.
(shameless promo for @ryuususa-day hehehe)
This is one of my favorite official art, I find it to be really serene and adorable, I love how Iris and Susato are enthralled, but then I looked at Susato’s bag!
They’re next to each other on her bag omg!! Susato is a RyuuSusa shipper confirmed lol!! <3
I love little easter eggs like these, and I can’t believe I’ve not noticed before lol!!

I always find dancing to be very lovely, and I think Susato would be the leader whenever she waltzes with Ryuu, as a treat <3
THIS IS A ROMANTIC SHIP POST <3
Susato hummed as Sholmes’ phonograph played downstairs. It was truly wonderful to be back in London after her sudden departure. Returning home and staying with her father and grandmother were wonderful, of course, but the quiet was unnerving at first. Susato missed the clicking of Iris working at her typewriter, or Sholmes playing his violin, or even Ryuunosuke’s daily observation of his pet prawn.
Yes, Susato had realized that she had a home she missed in London just as much, and she was happy to be back in it.
She glanced up to see the attorney hunched over the prawn tank, he had a great smile on his face as he watched the creatures swimming below.
“I think they like the music, Susato-san!” He said. “They like it better than Sholmes-san’s at least…”
“They say music makes the heart grow fond, Naruhodou-san,” She replied. “I’m rather fond of the phonograph and Sholmes-san’s.”
Ryuunosuke chuckled and rose from the tank. His hand clasped the back of his neck, and his fingers were surely running through his hair.
“Sholmes-san’s music isn’t bad, persay!” Ryuunosuke said quickly. “It’s just an an acquired taste!”
Susato giggled and rose from her desk. She glanced down at the prawn, they certainly had grown since she last had seen them. They were definitely active, moving along with the beat of the music.
“How charming! They are dancing!” Susato cooed. “It makes me want to dance…!”
She remembered one of the old books she had at home, they were sent by her father when he was on his own study trip— her grandmother wanted to learn more about London, and she always was fascinated by balls and galas.
Susato hummed along with the music, and she started to waltz by herself.
Ryuunosuke smiled and he watched her.
“You’re rather good at dancing, Susato-san!”
Susato’s face flushed, and she glanced away bashfully, but there was still a smile on her face.
“I have a book back home, it taught me quite a few dances that were popular in London when I was little,” She replied. “It’s rather lonely dancing alone you know, Naruhodou-san!”
Immediately, Ryuunosuke blushed harder than Susato was. He stood up straight and shuffled awkwardly before replying, “I… don’t know how…”
Feeling rather bold, Susato took hold of Ryuunosuke’s hands and pulled him to the center of the room.
“It’s rather easy to learn, I’ve had the steps memorized for quite some time!” Susato said, placing Ryuunosuke’s hand on her shoulder and taking hold of the other one. “Typically, you would lead, but since you do not know the dance, I will lead!”
Susato typically studied the woman’s role in a partner dance, but when she felt particularly daring, she stole a glance at the man’s role. Even when she was a little girl, she never understood why there was such a difference, it was simply a matter of reflecting the leader.
Ryuunosuke, despite stumbling on Susato’s toes, was a good sport about learning. Bit by bit, he stepped on Susato’s toes less and less, he stopped looking at the floor more, and he smiled more while Susato led their waltz.
“You have a knack for learning things quickly, Naruhodou-san!” Susato grinned. “First, the law of Great Britain, and now dance!”
Ryuunosuke squeezed her hand, “It’s all thanks to my brilliant teacher.”
Prompts are right here!! And here’s another one for good measure!! :D

I am weak for that one Tangled frame, it’s just a really soft scene!! Not pictured, Ryuu absolutely trying to keep his cool at the top of the wheel lol (Luckily he got a hug for being very brave about it <3)
Filterless version under the cut!
About damn time I recreated this meme, lol!!
I’ve been having so much fun experimenting with that 90s shojo style, and playing with the after effects to make it look like I ripped this from a worn VHS lol!! Filterless version is under the cut!
