Would you be open to taking commissions? I'm working on a top-down ORPG (tiny-mmorpg) and I would love to get more work from the original artist that already knows the style I'm looking for!

(1 edit) (+1)

For sure, you can add me on discord: (REDACTED TO AVOID RANDOM REQESTS)

Or reach out on one of my social medias. I'm currently not taking any more commission work until the start of the new year though. We can organize for that though. Cheers!

I've sent a friend request, thanks!

Any mini medieval tropical or jungle assets in the near future?

Currently my main focus is on finishing animations on all the expansions. That should be mostly done over the next few months. After that I'm open for adding more expansions.

The Desert expansion already includes palm trees, so perhaps that will get you some of the way towards tropical for now!

Cheers!

So minimal and beautiful.

I loved the style and colors. Good job :)

Thank you for the kind words! Much more to come.

This is amazing, I used it in the gameboy game jam, had to do a little massaging to get the assets into Gameboy with the colour pallets but it helped me tremendously https://nicholasbm.itch.io/the-green-knight

Hey, how would you recommend slicing sheets? I'm on Gdevelop.

Would you be open to an update, or commission, to add some more 8x8 variants of the trees, structures and such? Want to use them for overworld sprites, and figured I'd see if you were open to the idea.

For sure, you can reach out on Discord. My username is _v3x3d

My other social medias are fine to reach out on too, cheers!

I tried twitter but I'm not sure my messages went through because I had an account validation popup at the same time- but I just sent you a message on Discord. Thanks m8

Hi! Are the character and pickup sprites black background or transparent? Preferring transparent, but fine if it's a stylistic choice for black.

(+2)

I have both transparent and black background for sprites, hope this helps, cheers!

I bought the whole series a few weeks back and it's a GREAT tileset. It can work for both cozy and more serious games and there is such an incredible variety.

I hope you'll also add some fantasy monsters, like goblins, skeleton and the like. Right now my "heroes" are moving around slaying pets :P

Hey! Thanks for reaching out! I for sure have lots of plans for various enemies. Goblins are planned, skeletons as well. Over the next few months I will be putting lots of focus on this series.

Cheers!

Units on horses would be super cool :D

Been planning this! Not sure how to fit it into 8x8, but I will for sure try! Cheers!

Love this art series so much I signed up for a Game Jam just to use it!

Few minor suggests if you update the pack:

  • Add the vision tiles, the black, heavy dotted, and med dotted. I took them from example images, but would be great if they were included.
  • + graphic for the trees. I see the V and H lines, the box and diamond patterns, but didn't see a +, maybe I missed one. If so, call it out in the docs (those are so helpful for the non pixel artist).
  • Some dirt ground. I loved the road and path tiles (still working out how to auto tile them). I ended up copying the grass and making a brown set similar to the grass set.

Hey, thanks for using and enjoying my assets! Always love seeing wonderful projects being made using them!

Notes on the suggestions:

- The vision tiles are included in the "interface" file at the bottom.

- I do think I need to include the +, I'll look into that and have it included with the next update.

- This is planned!

Thanks for the suggestions, cheers!

Awesome! Even if there were zero updates this would be a top grade art pack to use.

Hi, great assets!! Are there any animations for chopping down trees (for the units and the trees), gathering resources (like units carrying them), and destroyed buildings/structures for when enemies attack them. Also other than animals are there any other enemy types or is this it? Thanks a lot

Hey, thanks for reaching out. Yes, I do have a axe chopping animation. As for units carrying resources, I don't have any generic carry or specific carry animation for resources. Buildings have some tiles that make them look more worn down, but no serious damage tiles.

As for "enemies", it is mostly just animals/insects at the moment, or other humans. I do plan on adding other races to the series, like goblins, etc.

I have around 30 unique animal/insects (not counting baby variations). Oh, also a ghost "enemy" exists too.

With all that said, these ideas are all great additions that I will certainly be adding in the coming updates, thanks!

Ah okay that sounds great! Thank you for the quick reply too! Would those updates be to this asset pack or be made into an entirely new pack?

(+1)

Everything except some of the races would be for this pack. I haven't decided what races might go with what packs yet.

Wondering if you could use the unit without a weapon and just place the resources in a layer above the action set with the punching arms?

I just bought your bundle and am very excited to use it. I'm not very good at graphics yet, but I still really want to make a game, and your art is going to be a huge help!

Fantastic! Hope you enjoy, lots of updates for this pack and it's expansions are either planned or in the works.

Cheers!

I am currently working on a game and would like to get a quote on having you do all the art work. Is there a way I can reach you?

Thanks, means a lot! Plenty more in the works for this asset series. In fact I'm going to be updating this base pack soon! Cheers!

Just bought this pack and, my god, it is so great!

Thank you so much for sharing it!

Thank you for enjoying! Cheers!

(+2)

I'm buying this, and I'm going to make cute stuff with it ;)

(1 edit) (+2)

Thanks so much, looking forward to seeing some of it. Cheers!

i wouldn't dare to release 1.3 until dealt with the alpha channel of the interactive things...

(1 edit) (+6)

I don't think you really understand this pack, nor have you even looked at the dev logs.

This design is very intentional, and very much an optional part of the pack.

(+1)

Really nice art style! I’ll keep an eye out for updates.

(+1)

Thanks, many updates are planned. Cheers!

(+1)

Hi! These are great looking tiles! Any plans for interiors (houses, caves/dungeons) ?

(+1)

Yes, I intend for many expansions of this pack, all of the things you listed are planned for the future in the Mini Medieval series. Cheers!

(+1)

Interactables having an all-black background is such a good idea. Beautiful work :)

(+1)

Thanks so much, I'm always trying to experiment with interesting pixel concepts for unique, and visually clear pixel art. Glad I got this one right.

Cheers!

(+1)

This style is great.

Thank you!

(+1)

Very readable for 8x8, nice.

(1 edit) (+1)

Thank you, that was a major goal with this pack. Lots of variety while still readable.

Wow, good asset)

Looks great! Good job.
