I’m nearly done I’m nearly finished with Chapter 10 of my Gotham Umora AU/Riddlebird Arctic Fairytale but I SO WANNA TALK ABOUT IT ALREADY!!!! Just in general!! I feel like I’m climbing up the walls. I love this au.
Merry Christmas everyone. Here’s a couple of snippets (separate from each other) from Chapter 10 of my Riddlebird/Gotham Umora AU that ’ve been chipping away at throughout the day:
Once again thinking about my DC Rogues Crooked Moon AU (aka the Scriddler fic I started writing called ‘The Hell Happened To Jonathan Crane’). Might also contain Riddlebird though! I so want to continue it but I’m having a bit of trouble with some of the character’s species and classes.
So far we have:
- Crane as a Harvestborn (scarecrow), Path of The Experiment, a Philosopher Wizard (Alchemist).
- Harley as a Threadborn (haunted harlequin doll) Warlock of Fools
- Ivy as a Gnarlborn (ent/treefolk) Druid of the Old Ways
- Oswald as an Azureborn (harpy) Sinner Rogue (just a rogue with access to jinxcraft — bending luck and slinging curses, gambling, etc. fun feature of that class is that they can cast ‘Gun’!).
- Selina as an Ashborn (Imp), also a Sinner Rogue but in a wildly different flavour.
I’m unsure what Ed would be, species-wise. He’s an Occultist Wizard (essentially studying Eldritch HorrorsTM), but I’m stuck on whether to make him human or one of the Crooked Moon species.
@creature-lala @thatnerdio @everythingmeeps what do you think? 🤔 @ anyone else who has any ideas, I would really appreciate your opinions too! 💖 Just brainstorming out loud here.
Also help for other well-known DC Rogues would be really helpful! If you have any ideas about their species or general D&D class I’d really appreciate that! I’ll just spin the flavour to this Folk Horror/Halloween-esque universe.

Chapter summary:
Oswald’s smile quickly fades into a guarded frown. There’s a brilliant green light radiating from The Parabola where Ed grips it’s polished surface, and his nerves thrum with anxious energy at the change in Oswald’s demeanour. “Stumper, what’s wrong?”
“We need to talk,” he doesn’t take any joy in the way Oswald’s eyes widen in dread and anticipated hurt, nor the grim downturn of his lips. He drapes the scarf back over his neck in resignation.
Edward allows himself to be beckoned forwards so that the doors close of their own volition behind them. The deep click of a lock hangs heavily in the air.
Rating: Explicit (Warnings: Suggestive. Violence, blood and gore, prey fear, psychological horror, and smut in previous chapters.)

Heya! Is there a 18+ Nygmobblepot discord chat anywhere? because I feel like I’m weirdly starving among discussions of ships that I’m not really interested in. I like other ships but my investment in them is 5/20 compared to Riddlebird. I wanna gush about them and my Umora AU with people! But I feel like it’s hard to have actual discussions on here other than one off-replies of short chats sadly. Also that being said: SEND ME ASKS ABOUT THEM!!! I feel like I’m on an iceburg with maybe 3 other people and I wanna chat so bad! 😭💖
