Was playing FFXII again and I noticed whenever Balthier cracks a joke, no one ever laughs.

Balthier: Nobody knows men like Fran does. :)
Fran: …
Basch: …Our purposes lead the same way: to Ondore.

He’s so disappointed Basch (or anyone else) didn’t laugh after his joke:

Basch is the only one of the main cast who’s never impressed with Balthier, which is so funny. Especially in this scene where Balthier almost looks sad.

Balthier defending Basch without knowing him at all is one of my favorite things in FFXII. Later, Basch defends Balthier against Vossler as well.
