My arts for the sensational apple trend!

And a brief author’s analysis of the symbolism in the art — if, like me, you care about who is looking where and which of the characters is rotten. From Fanill’s side, of course, nothing has changed, but why not chat under the auspicious pretext?

First off: obviously, I’m not shipping durge with his butler, unlike art with Gorty. What you see here is more of a family scene. I’m promoting the idea that Sceleritas Fel is not only a butler, but also a father figure to durge.

I tried to depict Felly as if he were approaching durge from slightly below. In a pose of adoration, reverence, and unconditional affection, so to speak. Fanill, on the other hand, looks away, glancing to the side: this is the gaze of a man with blood on his hands, fog in his head, and a glaring lack of confidence in his heart about where to go next.

The hollow core of the apple is also a recurring symbol, referring to Fanill’s metaphorical ‘emptiness’: his amnesia, the parts of himself that are lost forever, and his forgotten feelings. But the seeds visible in the core are a sign that within this emptiness there is potential for the emergence of a new ‘self’ for him (all the traits he acquired while travelling with new friends and generally living outside the cult of Bhaal), but also for the revival of the old: the craving for vice, for exquisite violence, for the Father.

On Fanill’s side, there is a fruit worm as a symbol of infection with ceremorphosis. On the left, on Fel’s side, there is a completely rotten apple, which subtly hints that everything connected with Bhaal literally decomposes Fanill’s soul.

That’s how it is. This is not just a trendy picture!!!!
