I hate when people are like “the world’s a cruel place, just get used to it.” That’s a terrible mentality! Never accept cruelty and brutality and unhappiness as the norm. The world is a cruel place, so get out there and make it a little less so.
expanding on this, the world ISN’T a cruel place. it’s not inherently hostile. there’s just a lot of people who are childish / act cruel because of what they’ve had done to them as children, and they never learned to grow past that. just see the child in everybody and you’ll realize that the world is a neutral place with a lot of lost kids who’ve grown up to be cruel.
always say “my peace is more important” when you find yourself reacting to something that doesn’t deserve your energy. prioritize your inner wellness and cultivate an active mindset of peace by consciously deciding that you’ll elevate higher than any situation that arises
this mindset has helped me a lot this year.
you don’t need to argue if you already know you’re right. let the world inevitably prove your point for you. all you need to do is be a good role model for others.

@ everyone in this notes: calling it “untrained” or “loose (as in loose grasp on anatomy),” which is what some of u ACTUALLY said, is the same thing. in unconventional art, these are very often INTENTIONAL design choices. it takes a lot of skill to do something unconventionally and still have it be pleasing to a lot of people.

unless you find a way to somehow live completely on your own, without the noticing of others, it really is not possible at all not to participate in / contribute to the idea of capitalism – not in the current world.
where do you work? what do you do? are you, by your logic, a murderer? where do you live? have you bought a smartphone, or a computer? are you somehow exempt from this ideology you’re casting upon the rest of the world?
if that isn’t clear, what I’m saying is that everybody – even you! – contributes to and “advances” capitalism in some way. that’s what we live under. this does not mean we cannot also be against this living condition.
the situation mentioned involved a woman starting a business to feed her family. if she didn’t have enough money, she’d starve – because of capitalism! how do you propose she’d have solved this instead? starting businesses is debatably worse than working under a business, but does this not mean you’re still supporting their endeavors? which jobs don’t contribute to this?
i think you’re getting yourself lost in ideas. it’s very easy to paint everything in this situation as bad, but that’s not at all realistic. contributing in the slightest to a bad situation does not mean you can never truly be against that same situation, especially if the situation gives you no choice!
by the way, calling out the slightest impurities in the actions of others (and equating them to something worse) doesn’t make you any better.
when i was a teenager it felt very revolutionary to be cruel to myself. like some kind of slow passive protest against how much everything hurt. i starved myself of sleep and food and tenderness because it felt right. it felt sharp and angry and radical and i wanted to be those things. adulthood is the realisation that the world is already working to cut into you well before you learn how to do it yourself. caring for yourself and others is the real protest
i half agree with this message but you’ll only heal once you learn that the world isn’t inherently hostile. it’s just full of stupid people. the universe doesn’t try to hurt itself…
