If words are the language of the mind, then music is the language of the soul.

The concept of this album is the answer to a question posed on social media by Detroit based Techno DJ/Producer Asher Perkins.
“What’s your Techno origin story?"

My Techno origin story starts nearly at the beginning of having any sort of musical preference. Before being obsessed with the driving beats and futuristic sounds of the nascent genre of Techno, I can only remember picking certain songs or albums of a wide variety and listening to them repetitively.
When I was still a child, my mother would play Techno CDs from various artists and do calisthenics while at home. I instantly fell in love with the driving and hypnotic energy that flowed from the speakers. From then on, I was hooked. Most people at that time had never heard of Techno and when introducing this music to my friends, they mostly found it strange and didn’t like it.
Fast forward some years later and imagine my surprise when I first found myself at a warehouse rave in Detroit. With the minimal lights strobing and scanning, and the all-encompassing bass pounding the dust from the ceilings, I finally found my people.

From the title track “Origin Story” to “Peakabang” this album flows through my musical influences from my early childhood memories of playing video games on a Commadore 64 to dancing the night away at warehouse raves in Detroit and lands in present day. Although I have dabbled in music production since the late 90s, this is my first ever attempt at making a full-length album. It has been a labor of love that took nearly 2 years to complete. I had a blast making it and I hope you enjoy listening to it!
