Silver Lining's Playbook
Pay It Forward
I Want To Eat Your Pancreas
Well yeah, their team was getting poached before Ascension was even over.
Nope. Jonah's probably my least favorite player on the team. Though, that is really not saying much considering how much I like the others and he also did a lot to make me approve even more of him this year.
Give it your best shot
So something like Path of Exile or PoE2 have large skill trees
MMOs like Lost Ark or Phantasy Star Online 2 have the weapon oriented combat you're looking for
Like anything from the Monster Hunter series as well
and I see from above you've already played all of the Souls-like games
What are you looking for? Mindless combat? Story driven? Do you care about specifically having new age graphics/retro/somewhere in between? First person, third person, or maybe side-scroller or top-down? What do you consider to be a large skill tree? I mean something like Dynasty Warriors will have the weapon stuff (on some characters), but not really the skill tree stuff. Ninja Gaiden 4 (which comes out next month) should have great combat, but ninjas rarely use greatswords.
I could literally not care less about how SEN do at the Mickey Mouse tournament that is EWC.
With the exception of 100T, I'm happy to see the teams I care about get to go home early.
(I feel like 100T need some results to maintain the sanity. I still believe they're a good team, even if I like other teams more overall)
animekai.to/home
As an avid anime watcher, I recently found this site (because my normal site was a little slow at uploading something I REALLY wanted to watch at the time). The features it has and the lack of invasive ads truly set it far above the rest imo
How do you define dynasty?
What does it take to be considered a dynasty in your mind?
lil bro misspelled his own name
Your list is lowkey all over the place so I can't get a good vibe of what to recommend (liking Slam Dunk, but apparently not any other sports show lol)... But here are some good ones imo
If you can be specific about what you like/don't like I can prob give better advice.
The First Slam Dunk (it's a Slam Dunk movie, iirc it's like the last game that was never shown in the show or smth)
Gurren Lagann
Kingdom
Ranking of Kings
Akudama Drive
86
Oshi no Ko
Dungeon Meshi
Mushoku Tensei
Dandadan
Also catch up on One Piece. You have it rated 8, but dropped anyway despite Naruto being like the next longest show on your list and rated a 10. One Piece is great I promise. Don't be discouraged by its length and follow a guide to skip filler if you really want to.
I've always had a high opinion of penny, but losing nAts is tough. Hopefully penny preforms well enough to keep TL in it.
Does anyone have a ss of the initial tweet in question? Kinda curious how bad it was
FNC is not my favorite team, but they're up there. In honor of your plea for FNC, if you happen to choose me, I'll gladly take a FNC bundle.
My issue is more that the amount of time you're able to have a smoke up is doubled while also making the smoke cheaper. I don't mind the no-overlap part, but reduce the HP or the duration of it or something imo
I'm only on Harbor, but that first change of adding a second Cove while also decreasing the price and not nerfing the ability in any way is a wild take. The rest of your Harbor changes seem fine, but 2 Cove for cheaper with no nerf is not it.
I don't think there's anything saying they have to send their main roster...
Kinda like how whatever this CN tourny is rn has all the teams that are going to Toronto not sending their actual roster either.
Omen main
I've played 500 hours of Spike Rush, 1000 hours of Swift and <50 hours of ranked
I mean as far as KOI goes, they are a Spanish org
So finding Spanish players when possible makes sense, especially when they're season is this far gone already
iirc the individual regions' leagues are all independent
So it wasn't Papa Riot that organized the start times for the leagues (thereby slightly screwing over EMEA by giving less time between end of Stage 1 and Toronto) but the individual VCT regions themselves
They're probably told "You have to start and end between DateX and DateY."
They might be told the exact format to use in terms of match spacing and determining groups and whatnot, but in terms of running the actual league and such I think they get a lot more free reign.
I could be wrong about this, but I think I remembered hearing that it worked this way.
This is exactly what I was coming to say. Thank you for putting in stats work so I didn't have to lol
Additional tidbit: Trent's all time Sova stats are almost identical to his Tejo stats and the sample size is more than 3 times larger.
Trent's mastery of Tejo in such a short time could simply be proof that if he needs to get this good at a single agent for the team, that he is capable of it.
If the team decides to run more Fade or whoever at Toronto hopefully he'll be able to prove me right, since they now have plenty of time to prep for it.
(Or he can just vibe out on Sova, that would be chill with me too.)
Edit: Someone above also mentioned that last year was with Icy and this year is with Jaw. No hate towards Icy, but Jaw just seems better... Idk if he's just a better fit, has a better base floor, both, or something else entirely, but the team looks back in frying form... When the move was first announced, everyone felt it was an upgrade and we know that Potter herself thought that Jaw was better than Icy too (since they were both on EG back in the day), so this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. (Glad to see Icy back on an upswing in playoffs though.)
Honestly I looked at this map veto and felt more like SEN wanted a challenge than an easy win. Seemed more like they wanted data on and experience playing G2.
Total agreement with what OP said. Can't wait to see more of your plays when you're ready to show us :D
This is a shame, but I'm glad she at least showed that she herself is able to compete at VCT level. She was the third highest rated player in EMEA after Kickoff and still maintained a 1.07 rating (good enough for 14th) throughout Stage 1. All this in spite of her team not being able to win a single match. When she's happy and healthy enough again I'm sure she'll be able to compete on an Americas roster with no issue if she desires.
I mean the average 16 y/o thinks saying "good boy" to people makes them cool and edgy.
So should we be/am I surprised by this behavior? Not entirely.
Does that mean there should be no repercussions? Not entirely.
If it's actually a one time thing, then yeah in a bit of time this'll all fade.
If it's a consistent behavior even after this, then it will become a big problem for him.
I won't deny I made edgy jokes when I was younger... But I def knew where to draw the line better than this.
Personal favorite?
#1: Kingdom
Also #1: Major
I don't know what awards you're talking about, but among those, if Frieren doesn't win something is up. Frieren is the peak of anime right now. I think it stands kinda undisputedly above the rest. "Generational" is correct.
this goes for OP as well
they were told the way they do thing is undesirable
and instead of trying to fit the directive of the (presumably) coach,
they publicly say the other side is wrong
team might have dodged a bullet with OP's maturity
I have like 1000+ hours of Swiftplay
And like 500+ hours of Spike Rush from before Swiftplay came out
I don't believe I've ever hit diamond
But I also have like <30 hours of ranked ever
Sure I frequently get placement matches with them, but I've never been placed in it myself
Most seasons I don't even play ranked
There's nothing wrong with just enjoying the game
People can have lives outside of the game
Where can I find this poll of 10,000 people, 86% of whom stated they would need 100 quid to play?
I don't believe this for a second, unless you're polling literal randos who don't even play games and have no interest.
But did you perhaps get 86% of people to agree that they would play Val if you paid them (and not that they wouldn't play if you did not pay them, because these are different things). Cause I'd 100% take the money if you were going to pay me to play... I'd just still play even without the money.
Playing the game because my friends play it too IS a form of fun btw. Even if I enjoy the solo experience of other games more than the solo experience of Val rn, doesn't mean that I don't still enjoy it or that I only enjoy it when I am playing with friends. But I've also always enjoyed the solo experience of some other games over Val, so this isn't really a change.
I was a fan of this team before they were even in VCT so...
Oh, I thought you were saying to change hosts like the analysts and casters and such. But yeah changing the venue location to Canada or Brazil might not be the worst
Random agent every round could be fun
When I played Overwatch a lot of how I got better at the game was by grinding a few hundred hours of Mystery Heroes just to learn what everyone does lol
oooo randomize the teams every round and round wins are tied to the individual, first to X would be a fun party mode even if you just limit it to 5v5
S1mon trying his hardest over here.
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 (Gamecube)
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Pokemon Gold
Dragon Quest 3
Mario Tennis (Game Boy Color)
Mario Golf (Game Boy Color)
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
Lost Kingdom & Lost Kingdom 2
Samurai Warriors 2
Ninety-nine Nights
Enchanted Arms
Halo 2
Mario Kart: Double Dash
I'll look at my game collection when I get home and pick a few more lol
EWC and Trexx are likely unrelated.
Though huge props to Trexx if he just straight up refused to participate in EWC and that caused issues for the team.
If you want an in depth look at it, Sideshow made some videos about it awhile back.

Those videos are fairly long, but they'll explain everything better than I could and should provide a wealth of extra context to livefrmhollywood's post.

Is this a real question? Are you truly this far out of the loop?
