US visas got incredibly harder to attain after 9/11 check the last 2 paragraphs of #16

The governement shutdown did not affect the visa processing stuff . Also KRU made the mistake of applying normal work visas cuz the work visa thing was always pretty hard to get since 9/11 . VCT players can avail athlete visas which I talked abt in this post which are not affected by the new visa laws .

Btw all of KRU's player qualify for the P1A visa cuz Silentzz and Dante played in challengers , Ascension and in VCT

Mwzera also played in VCT for 2.5 years and

Hence they qualify under the O1A category too

It has to be that the agency applied for work / business visas which is notorious for taking a long time for processing so ya .

My mom (also indian) immigrated to the US in '03 like it took her 8 months for her visa to be processed and she got into the country 3 months later after clearing everything .

Even when the US had stricter immigration policies in the 60s and 50s like the visa processing would take 2 weeks to sort everything out .

Helps them a lot cuz media outlets like Sheep Esports , Dextro ,VLR etc cover this stuff so that itself helps and fast tracks their VISA approval .

All of KRU's players qualify for this visa

O-1A has a higher bar where they want elite / ppl with extraordinary abilities in their fields aka in valorant terms Masters , Champions or EWC winner / MVP or consistent placing high in these events . Again media coverage from Sheep Esports , Dextro and VLR help quite a bit in fast tracking the process .

Players like Less and Saadhak qualify for this VISA .

Teams can also avail premium processing which costs 2.5K/player to reduce the wait time from 2-3 months to 15 days .

My guess is KRU applied for work / business visas which fucked them up .

Look at NRG 2024 , Vitality 2025 too some extent , not a superteam but SEN 2025 cuz they pay insane as well so ya. A shitty org which pays 8k-10k to their pays and defeat a super team which pays 30k-40k to their players so ya
