She is made in resin, painted with acrylics, sealed, has handmade eyes (by me) and has felt on her joints.

This cutie is a handmade ball jointed doll, made entirely from scratch, from me! She is a commission and the first doll I made to test a new style of doll, with less joints but too cute and that makes many poses besides having just 7 joints! I just love the result! The doll is made from cold porcelain clay, aibrushed with acrylics (pink paint) and has glass cabochon eyes. Hope you enjoy her as much as I do! The fabulous pictures were took by my talented friend! Received yesterday the first four Alexa castings!! A cream, a gray, a white and a caramel one. To have resin dolls made by me.. A dream I have since long time. I am very happy, you can’t know how much. Need to learn how to sand it now. They need certificate, instructions and a cushion too. But well, three are almost being up for sale (one is mine, probably the gray one). OMGOMGOMGOMH ahhsgdgwugsjvsjsv xD

Wow! Quite some time you do not get news from Alexa. I mostly post these kind of things on forums.
Phewww this girl was so much work! But I am super hyper happy with the final result!
The primer part for me was the worst, seriously!
I was finally able to finish the master prototype of her! There is some doubts about how the casting will be, but well, I shall get things solved soon. Oh god, it is true I am so close of the dream of having my own resin dolls? I am even working on the design of my website! Wow! Finally too, so much time I want a website but never got the inspiration to make one.
The result of a hard working evening! Alexa, now with primer!
The primer is grey and shining, so, it is easier to see defects if they are there. That is why I used it. After fixing the defects, a new coat of primer must be used to have a homogeneous surface. Although, I may try to let the doll less shining and more matte for casting.
Alexa’s new and last aquisitions:
- A new tail, more fox like. The old one would have problem for casting and also would look odd with a white tip that are a feature foxes have. So how Alexa could be a fox that looks odd with a white tip on the tail? That is why I change it.
- Pawpads on the hands and feet! That was a suggestion from a person from FA. I didn’t thought I was able to make the pawpads on the feet, but it worked, and so well! I am so happy with this new detail! That was a great idea indeed!
Pieces of Alexa now with primer on! Oh my god.. that gave me so much, but so much more work than I thought that will… Really.. something like four hours or so.. Mess everywhere. I was able to get even my feet painted! >=( Really! And oh, I think each piece got more than 10 coats of primer..Maybe would be easier to buy the super expensive primer.. At least skips the airbrush big messy thingy and be faster. Oh well, maybe next time.
Tomorrow I will sand the pieces again, fix possible defects. Maybe I will be give one more coat of primer on all.
Then I am thinking yet what is going to be he next step. If I am going to use MSC over all to give it a more matte effect or what. But good news is that she may be ready to mould making in one or two weeks!
After some months of work, here is Alexa again! She is almost finished. Only need a little bit more of sanding and I am thinking about using a surface primer on her or not. And soon she will going to casting! OMG it is so close! I am so excited!!
I’ve made a lot of changes on her, mainly on her face. She is much more symmetric now and posing better.
I think she looks waaay better now!
The left arm and leg will be cast twice as both sides of her are equal (except for the thigh, that each one will have a mold). That is why they look different one from another. I added some cool fur to her leg and made a better foot.
So, the news you really want to know!
- Alexa will be cast in polyurethane resin.
- She is 14cm height.
- She will initially come in white or beige colors.
- A pair of handmade resin eyes (made by me, like the ones on the picture) will come with her. These can be in any color you like and you can also buy extra pairs if you want, that will cost less than 5$. Also fits on her 8mm glass eyes or ErsaFlora eyes.
- She will come inside a wood box (pictures shown) that will be painted and decorated by me (I need to decide the colors yet).
- She will have a cushion just like other BJDs, instead of the drawstring bag.
- Initially I will sell her blank, without face up, because I need to learn how to make it in a good quality for you.
- Also will come with her a certificate of authenticity, instructions and a “birth certificate”, with the number of the copy you bought.
- She will come assembled and sanded.
- I will make some copies of her, with all the things that come with her and put them for sale. Which means it will be shipped to youwhithin just a few days, not months!
- I will make videos of her to show you better!
- Price will be about 200$.
