Meet Flex J of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Flex J.

Hi Flex J , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
You ever feel like your back is against the wall and you need something to shake…. I started out in Indianapolis, making music and creating an authentic sound built to last…. I knew I needed to grow, so I relocated to Los Angeles in 2021 to really chase the vision.

Since then, I’ve stayed in the studio, kept evolving, and kept my circle tight. Every move is strategic and about leveling up—not just musically, but in how I carry myself as an artist and as a brand. My album Next Stop Hollywood brought attention from the industry, and now I’m focused on pushing my sound even further with my next tape, which I’m anticipating for 2025.

At the same time, I’m getting deeper into the arts and expanding creatively into acting. This is just the beginning….I’m building something that’s bigger than music.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been far from smooth…. I’ve taken losses, made mistakes, and had to rebuild …I’ve questioned if it was even worth it at times….what kept me going was the vision and belief

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Flex J is a buzzing underground music artist with sights of taking over the rap game very soon….What separates Flex J aka Wildwxst—is the realness and the range. The way I blend melody with raw raps and catchy phrases—it’s not something you can box in and just find anywhere…… I’m not just making records—I’m telling stories… and these stories are layered.

You could say Flex J is humble… Wildwxst? You never know what you’re gonna get.

Together, it’s a full spectrum. You’re gonna hear pain, hustle, growth, love, and celebration all in one catalog. Every track going up!

But beyond the music, we’re building a movement. Next Stop Hollywood is about the belief that no matter where you are in this world, if you have the talent, you can take it to the highest level—you just gotta put the work in…I’m most proud of me for doing what I feel like I was born to do.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I hope artists gain more control and power in the industry…. The goal is to cut out the middleman and connect directly with fans and in business—artist to consumer—so we keep more of what we create and own our careers fully….Luckily, I still own everything and plan to only partner as I/We grow.
