this is so cute and awesome!!!

uh how is he friends whit that thing

(+1)

I think anyone would want to have good relations with something like that, in case something happens 😉

This was quite lovely. But can someone explain the adventure time reference? I never watched the whole show, but I thought I was playing some kind of future in that universe, but the ending made me confused.

(+1)

I think the only AT reference here is that the friend's name is Jake and he loves sandwiches so it's not like the same world or anything like that. But yeah, the show affected me when I made this for the jam :)

I thought I had missed some big important season there haha.

BTW, I have been playing all your games lately. I really love everything you're doing!

(+1)

I want to see MORE. The ending tho lol

(+2)

Wholesome, with great tunes. Lovely art style. 10/10

(+1)

Not sure what I was expecting, but that ending caught me off guard lmao

Great game though!

What a lovely game <3 Perfect length for a short story

(+1)

This is fantastic! I want to see more of this world!

wow you're good at story telling

A short, sweet game with a sprinkling of point-and-click, I really enjoyed my time with it: Between the stylized pixel art, the music, and the breezy dialogue, it had a calming, relaxing atmosphere for me, with an almost Ghibli-like magical slice-of-life feel throughout. The idea of a peaceful train ride with interesting but friendly passengers seems completely out of reach in my slice of time and space, so it was a pleasant bit of escapism, and the little hints of worldbuilding, and about the other passengers on the train, really made the game feel like a quick peek into a more colorful, more welcoming world. The ending was a very nice conclusion, even if more questions went unanswered than otherwise, but I like that our nameless protagonist will get to hang out with his giant, sandwich-loving friend. I wish that I could really catch a train for the Amber Coast, but since I can't, this is definitely the next best thing. An understated little gem, which I very much enjoyed!

A lovely little train romp adventure... we love doing this in real life, though there are precious few places in the world where it is still possible...

(+3)

(+3)

This was such a beautiful and calming game and I definitely loved the twist at the end. Great job on the settings and the pixilated art!

(+3)

(+2)

Just stumbled on this gem by chance. I love the esthetics, mood and music. What a beautiful little game. Cheers

(+4)

That was a really short game but still an awesome experience! I absolutely LOVED the aesthetics and the cute storytelling. Great job! :)

On a side note, would you like to have the game translated to French for free? I think it could be a nice additional feature to a desktop version.

Thanks for your offer, but I don't think it's worth bothering. Also the font in the game doesn't support diacritics anyway :)

(1 edit) (+1)

This was a really neat little story, and I really liked the music.  I left it running for a good 10 minutes after finishing the game just to listen to it and chill.

(+3)

very compelling and unusual. I'd like to see more of the world where this is set.

Excellent game with a charming story, excellent visuals (love the abstract shapes of player & NPCs and the beautiful backgrounds)
Great job!
Is there any chance for a desktop version (preferably linux x64 version ;-) ). I prefer to download excellent indie games since web versions can easily vanish....

(+1)

Thank you. I will add desktop versions of the game a bit later (but not linux, sorry, I don't have one).

(+1)

Amazing, thanks for the experience

(+1)

fantastic game

(+2)

very engrossing. loved playing it.

(+1)

Fantastic as usual. Great work, watabou.

(+2)

Great work thank you!
(a tiny note: when you go full screen you can see the landscape before e after the train)

Thanks, fixed!

(+3)

Wonderful little story. Reminds me of the old "Another World", the DOS version, that came out so long ago. Fantastic! Please keep it going. I hope it is easy to code. If it is long enough it would certainly warrant putting it up on an App store and going commercial. Great job!

when i saw jake for a second i was just like "w- wh- um ok" but this is a great little story/game ;)
