Algorithms Of Hate

Algorithms of hate
Arbiters of fate
Bits and bytes create
Trial by logic gate
Victims of hate
Victims of fate
Innocents beware
Systems of despair
Careful what you share
Trolls are waiting there
Pull down the next Celeb
Callously spread
Alarm, fear and dread
On the world wide web
Ride the viral spiral
Start the Twitter war
Ride the viral spiral
Let slip the blogs of scorn
Algorithms of hate
Await your next mistake
Making you a slave
Of the wi-fi fascist state

Marble

Here’s the news of Sundays reading.
Somebody jumped out of the roof
and there’s no bleeding.
Now here’s the truth about the being.
I’m sentenced to life but it’s awkward feeling.
Smashed by the stone and still alive.
So confused by modern life.
No one’s nowhere to testify my only
purpose to stay alive.

Walpurgas

Dark is the season
And here is the reason
Demise and the treason
When nightmares come alive
We stand and move
with the rhythm of the age
Under the spell of rage seeking refuge
Staying alive bleeding
Can you feel the butterflies,
Can you see the horizon
Can you stand the pain, again
And now all’s drifting away
One day, we’ll meet on the same way
Buried deep in our brains
We’ll recognize each other
Changed but not insane
Gates of success, flames of hate
Like a rolling thunder
The unholy grail
Your heart needs shelter
Your mind needs space

Five Senses
03:27
|
|||
|
Much good music is fated,
Composed but never heard.
Scenes that wait to be painted,
Have splendour unobserved.
Fine wines are vaguely tasted,
Spat out and left to turn.
Smooth silks and wools are braided,
While rough cloths get preferred.
Rich perfumes are created,
Their base notes undisturbed.
All the senses are negated,
By those left unperturbed.
Arts uncelebrated are
Opportunities spurned.
Beauty is thus frustrated,
By senses that are blurred.
Who knows how much is wasted,
When fools will not be stirred.

Paved By Slaves

Prologue
Though deplorable, the Atlantic slave trade formed a
relatively short instance of a permanent feature of human history.
The second book of the Bible narrates a flight from slavery.
Many of the iconic monuments of the ancient world were built using enforced labour.
The Roman trade and use of slaves is well known.
The Berbers abducted and enslaved many Europeans until the early nineteenth century.
The Afro-Caribbean slave trade would not have existed
without the cooperation of Africans who captured and sold
victims from weaker tribes.
The obsession with historical slavery obscures the fact that
this evil still exists today.
Slavery can be seen as far back as we look.
It is with us now and will exist in the future.
It is just one of man's behaviours that brings misery and suffering to humanity.
Lyrics
(Chorus)
It’s in man’s history,
It’s how he behaves.
For all the paths of man
Were paved by slaves.
Slavery is found,
Wherever you look.
Read it if you wish,
The Bible’s second book.
Pyramids of Mayans,
Follies to man's greed,
Were built by stolen wretches,
Who yearned to be freed.
Men were forced to lay
Roads that lead to Rome.
Blood, sweat and tears – Far away from home.
Europe’s sons and daughters,
Were taken in their scores.
Herded by the Berbers,
To perform the chores of Moors.
North Atlantic traders,
From England and from Spain.
Were aided by your fathers,
Who put your brothers in chains.
Hitler’s condemned races,
Taken in the War,
Were forced into labour,
Until they locked the door.
All across the world,
Modern slaves abound.
In London and Shanghai,
Are the Crusaders to be found?

Chains Of Tradition
04:18
|
|||
|
Don't tie our hands with tradition,
Or chain us to old-time rules,
That took you from reality and
Denied your personal truths.
Willingness to change creates the chance to change.
Creates the chance to change; to change, to change.
In the name of history's rituals,
Edicts of culture were forged,
They block our paths, stunt our growth,
And leave us only half formed.
Willingness to change creates the chance to change.
Creates the chance to change; to change, to change.
Blind worship of motionless ideals,
Violate, defile and displace us,
Taking us away from our real selves,
Blunting our aims and stifling promise.
Willingness to change creates the chance to change.
Creates the chance to change; to change, to change.
Really? Is this right? Must this always be?
Don't sculpt me in your granite past,
Reach out to me in other ways, and,
Like rain and rivers, we can run our lives free.

When Less Is More
04:01
|
|||
|
Your boat was overladen
Your prospects – they were poor
No chance to reach safe haven
Or the safety of the shore
Beware the inward rush of tide
Beware the ocean's roar
Beware the lure of suicide
Ignore the madman's lore
Keď si raz skočil do besných vôd
A nenašiel si žiadny oporný bod
Plavil si sa s prúdom nevediac
Nevediac, že niekedy menej je viac
Your vessel is unguided
It flounders, heaves and yaws
Until you have decided
To believe that less is more
Will you come back home again?
You never can be sure
Will your heart and soul remain
Now they have shut the door?
Keď si raz skočil do besných vôd
A nenašiel si žiadny oporný bod
Plavil si sa s prúdom netušiac
Netušiac, že niekedy menej je viac

Disparity
05:10
|
|||
|
Why are we satisfied? We know it’s wrong.
Why do we stay aside? We know it’s wrong.
While we are compromised, we feel alone.
Why do we keep inside the final blow?
Man who stole a goose from common lands,
Was led to jail with cuffs on hands.
But laws let the villain go loose,
Who stole the common from the goose.
It’s the same the whole world over,
It’s a deep and crying shame.
It’s the rich that get the clover,
And it’s the poor that get the blame.
Nothing has changed since days of old,
Wealth came from birth, land and gold.
Now men are judged by powers they hold,
Still disparity rules – the truth be told.

Nocturnal Shredding
03:08
|
|||
|
Reach out in sleep, bottom’s too deep
Dying to merge with the night
Just like thoughts flashing, flying come and go
Awaiting to be forgotten
Resurrect our screams
Endless cries that penetrate the infinite
And steal those precious seconds
In your mind
Let’s shine in the light, thrive in the night…
Energy in motion cutting through the time
Shining in a blaze of the night
You’ve felt that before, pumping through your heart,
Felt that before, cutting through the time.
Let’s shine in the light, thrive in the night…
