im not gonna pretend like im a personal friend of Mar or anything but the goth space here is extremely small and tight knit and their prescence has a domino effect on everyone. i mean fuck the gfm is already at 60% after being up for like a few hours, that's a huge deal. life is undeniably better here thanks to Mar, who's responsible for holding up like 20 different events at once.

I haven’t been able to get the full video but we just celebrated one of our steam locomotives turning 145 by chucking a chocolate cake into her firebox
So I know this post is from 2018, and I’ve gone on and on about it haunting me (it does still, and I don’t even work there anymore), but I think all these years later and so close to her own birthday, she deserves to be seen for the gorgeous locomotive she is.
She’s beautiful, we adore her, and she’s going to be 149 this year! Happy birthday, lady!

also i like how i worded that toplessness post as gender neutrally as possible (since a genuine gripe with the movement id accept is how centered on cis bodies it was/is and i wanted my post to be able to apply to various queer ppl who dont id as women as well) and people are still ignoring why i might have done that and Female Body-ing all over it and saying shit like “afab chests” as if this is not very much an issue that obviously effects trans women (remember the case with the trans woman who couldnt get the M marker on her id changed and then she took her shirt off in protest and got arrested for toplessness anyway?) & also going like “we need to sexualize mens chests/make men cover their chests to make up for it” as if i did not specifically word that to try to include trans masc ppl who cant get/dont want top surgery who also deal with the stigma around this as well. no hope
