This sort of vileness runs on a fundamental misunderstanding of what AO3 is, which is an archive specifically designed to keep fics available forever, regardless of how old or seldom read or outrageous they might be.

Also note that the justifications for the suggested action just make no sense: "AO3 could remove it soon. It might be wise to delete it yourself before that happens, as they're issuing month-long bans to accounts that don't comply" COMPLY WITH WHAT? COMPLY WITH WHOM?

Nobody but the troll account making the comment has done anything resembling asking the account holder to delete the fic; the troll is creating the implication that AO3 will ban accounts to punish them for . . . what, precisely? "Not complying" with an order that hasn't been given?

The only directive to delete the fic is coming from the troll; the assertion (lie!) that "they're handing out bans" to people who don't "comply" is engineered to suggest that AO3 will ban people for not complying with the troll's request.

It's the old "the government will arrest you if you don't give ME a $100 prepaid gift card" scam, even less well disguised than the original.

The second-worst thing about scammers, after the part where they scam people, is having to resist the urge to correct their shit scam attempts for them because you're dying of secondhand embarrassment for them.
