Raspberry Pi has just released the new version of their Touch Screen Display with improved performance! Designed for a sleek, modern setup, this full-color display offers immersive visuals with vibrant, 24-bit RGB and a stunning 720x1280 HD resolution. Enjoy ultra-wide viewing angles, ensuring crystal-clear clarity from any perspective. Raspberry Pi OS provides touchscreen drivers with support for five-finger touch and an on-screen keyboard, giving you full functionality without the need to connect a keyboard or mouse. Whether in portrait or landscape mode, the Touch Display 2 is ideal for interactive projects such as tablets, entertainment systems, and information dashboards!

Only two connections are required to connect the display to your Raspberry Pi: power from the GPIO port, and a ribbon cable that connects to the DSI port on all Raspberry Pi computers except for the Raspberry Pi Zero line. The Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 comes with two types of DSI cable: One for for the latest Raspberry Pi 5 (15-way to 22-way with a special shape, which is shown in the above picture), and another standard 15-way to 15-way for conventional Raspberry Pi single board computer such as Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. This Touch Display 2 is compatible with:
- Raspberry Pi 5 (Please use the copper color 15-way to 22-way DSI cable, included in the Touch Display 2 box)
- Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (Please use the white color 15-way to 15-way DSI cable, included in the Touch Display 2 box)
- Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ (Please use the white color 15-way to 15-way DSI cable, included in the Touch Display 2 box)
- Raspberry Pi 3 Model B (Please use the white color 15-way to 15-way DSI cable, included in the Touch Display 2 box)
- Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+ (Please use the white color 15-way to 15-way DSI cable, included in the Touch Display 2 box)
Note: Before connecting the display, shut down your Raspberry Pi computer and disconnect it from external power.
Note: If the cable becomes detached, pull the locking mechanism forward on the connector, insert the ribbon cable, ensuring the metal contacts face towards the circuit board, then push the locking mechanism back into place.

Note: Enclosures designed for the original Raspberry Pi 7-inch Touch Screen Display will not fit the new Touch Display 2, as the new display is slightly smaller.
