I've been busy with works but during my breaks I've been listening to/reading books, graphic novels, mangas, manhwa, manhua and more! I've also been watching some anime and some other type of shows but right now looking for stuff to read/listen too.
I've dwindled my list down to a few stuff now and I need add more to my collection so I was wondering if anyone have some recommendations!
Here's list some of the stuff I've read/listened/watched so far

Honestly I don't mind genre, how long/short it is, or if it's a slow burn/fast paced. I'm willing to give everything a shot once and tend to read at least 10~15 chapters before calling it quits if I don't like it! So recommend me anything, honestly!

FA+

It's a very slow burn as it's more focused on immersing you in this world and its characters rather than hitting you with frights constantly. But most of all, I greatly appreciate how vague it is about the nature of the spooky stuff. I find most haunted house stories start boring me once it's revealed what tragedy caused the hauntings, and then it's usually a matter of righting some sort of injustice to make the ghost go away; too much is explained, which saps away most of the horror. But this book keeps you guessing at exactly what is happening and why, which makes it all feel more inexplicable and unnerving.
I don't remember it super-well, but I seem to recall also enjoying "The Other" by Thomas Tryon. That one's about teenage twin boys living in a small town. One twin is very timid and sweet-natured, and the other...not so much, as his rebellious nature and cruel pranks become increasingly twisted.
Horror, thrillers and general dark and weird stuff is pretty much all I read. XD
Whether you read my suggestions or not, I hope you find some fun media to enjoy. :)
I LOVE horror genre but sometimes it's hard to find a good book about it because some books, like movies, put emphasis on gore or the wrong parts of horror. Like putting too much cherries on a banana split kind of thing. So I'll give these two books a try! Thank you so much <3
And yeah, I hear ya. I read all sortsa horror stuff and it's very hard to find things of real value. I recently finished another one called "Disturb Not the Dream" by Paula Trachtman. I went in expecting a haunted house book, and it's kiiiinda that, but moreover it's an incredibly sleazy soap opera murder mystery filled with zany surprise twists and absolute heaps of sexual abuse, bookended by extreme violence. I mean, it might be fine if you want something especially "extra," but I came away from it feeling like it was just kinda ridiculous. XD
