Happy Late Christmas

I know that it’s a day late, but Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and/or Happy whatever might be breaking your wallet. I hope whatever you choose to celebrate, I hope you had a great day.
I didn’t post or call anyone yesterday because my phone went missing in action. I tried to call it but went straight to voice mail because the battery was dead. Then I remembered that I made a call while driving home. So this morning I grabbed the spotlight, and found that it fell between my driver's seat, and the center console, and the battery was 100% dead which didn’t suprise me at all.
We had one of the best Christmases that we have had in a long time. We went to the Falls and had an OK Red Slobster Dinner, but between now and less than a month ago, it was about $60 higher, and we really didn’t order much of anything different. So either last time we were billed wrong, or they charged out the ass for one drink and a dessert. I was going to say it was good, but the food wasn’t the hottest because of how expensive it was. I thought the service was pretty decent, even though they kept on getting the tables all messed up but luckily for the staff and the rest of the customers, there were no Karens. One of the best parts of going to that restaurant are the fresh cooked biscuits, but they were extremely bland. It was almost like they were frozen then thrown into a microwave. The other thing that I noticed was that they seemed to shrink down the proportions of what you got along with charging more. I like clam chowder on which I usually order a bowl because the cup is like a shot glass which I think is a total joke. Then to top it off, there were barely any clams that they tried to disguise by adding extra potato chunks to add to the $15 it cost per bowl. The fried shrimp was OK, but the scampi had some of the smallest shrimp that I have seen in a long time. The crab legs were almost perfect, but they forgot this thing called crab crackers, but I solved that problem by using my teeth. I guess the expensive part of the meal was the lobster tail, which reminded me more like an oversized mud-bug. I guess it’s probably going to be a long time before we go there again, especially when there are two other places at the falls that offer better quality that aren't as expensive, but they were both closed on Christmas day. Too bad that there isn’t a Joe’s Crab Shack locally.
Got the new security system working, and it looks great, and I’m really impressed how the wireless cameras work as repeaters. I’m also kicking myself in the head for not ordering the 16 camera system instead of the 10, but these will do. I’m also impressed how far the signal travels between the cameras.

I hate seafood and I'm glad, because if I liked it I'd eat it and I hate it. Actually, I am VIOLENTLY allergic to shellfish although have eaten shrimp in the distant past. I worked in the hospital 50 years ago and Sundays during Lent the kitchen served Lobster Thermidor to the patients. Just the smell of the stuff made me glad I didn't eat it... So, yeah, even steak is too rich for my blood. I bought Chinese take-out for my brother and me a few weeks ago and dropped $45 so...

The Red Lobster here has also been going through some of those changes (rumors about the company filing for bankruptcy and the location closing blah blah blah). I had bland biscuits once too. I think it's because they didn't have enough of that salty seasoning on them. But then, if you take a step back, ALL restaurants are getting more expensive and Red Lobster is just along for the ride.
