The battlefield was chaos—shields splintering, swords ringing, the scent of blood thick in the air.
Naetis barely had time to think before the first strike came. A sharp arc of steel flashing toward him. He met it, but the force drove him back, boots scraping against the mud.
There was no time to recover. A second blow. A third. His opponent was pressing him hard, testing him.
He gritted his teeth, feeling the impact shake his arms. A feint—he fell for it. A glancing cut seared across his ribs.
💙 The sting of pain. The warmth of blood. The price of battle.
💙 He had trained for this, but training meant nothing now. This was real.
💙 And he would not fall here.
His grip tightened around his sword. A deep breath. A shift in his stance. He read his opponent now—saw the way their weight shifted, the slight hesitation before each strike.
An opening. He took it. His blade found armor, steel scraping steel, but the impact was enough.

The fight dragged on. More enemies. More blows exchanged. A strike across his shoulder, bruising but not breaking. A shield bash to his chest, forcing him to stumble.
His breath was ragged now, his muscles burning. But he refused to slow.
Another attack—he ducked, countered, twisted his sword. A clash of steel, a cry of pain. His enemy fell, but another took their place.
There was no end to this. Just fight after fight, strike after strike.
💙 His vision narrowed. His focus sharpened. He wasn’t thinking anymore—only moving, reacting, surviving.
💙 This was war. No second chances. No mercy.
💙 And he was still standing.
A horn sounded in the distance. The tide of battle was shifting. His comrades pushed forward, the enemy lines breaking.
Naetis exhaled, sweat and blood clinging to his armor.
It was not over. Not yet. But he had survived.
