I use GoodSync for nearline backups of Windows servers and workstations. It automatically backs up the selected system and data drives to another computer on the same LAN, updating shortly after changes are made. I like that it runs seamlessly, does not appear to take up system resources noticeably, and simply does its job. It uses VSS to copy locked files, and I have no major issues with it. I have not needed to worry that it's not working; even though there's a console that I can leave open, it is not needed in day-to-day use as the program runs as a background service. GoodSync support helped me through the first install, and it's been a breeze to maintain. It runs alongside my image backup software (EaseUS) and also Cove Data Protection (cloud backup from N-Able) on the same servers with no conflicts. It was easy to set up, and although configuration was a bit more difficult, GoodSync support was there for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
