"Seamless Backups with Outstanding Support"
What do you like best about GoodSync?

I use GoodSync for nearline backups of Windows servers and workstations. It automatically backs up the selected system and data drives to another computer on the same LAN, updating shortly after changes are made. I like that it runs seamlessly, does not appear to take up system resources noticeably, and simply does its job. It uses VSS to copy locked files, and I have no major issues with it. I have not needed to worry that it's not working; even though there's a console that I can leave open, it is not needed in day-to-day use as the program runs as a background service. GoodSync support helped me through the first install, and it's been a breeze to maintain. It runs alongside my image backup software (EaseUS) and also Cove Data Protection (cloud backup from N-Able) on the same servers with no conflicts. It was easy to set up, and although configuration was a bit more difficult, GoodSync support was there for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodSync?

Setup is a bit complex, but GoodSync support helped me through the first install, and it's been a breeze to maintain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable File Syncing with Room for Stability Improvements"
What do you like best about GoodSync?

I use GoodSync to sync files automatically and on schedule from a remote server to my site, which saves me time since I don't have to do it manually. I like how it is easy to use, with a straightforward and simple setup. The GoodSync support team was also helpful with the first-time setup, making the transition smooth. What do you dislike about GoodSync?

It sometimes just crashes when I start it, so if that can be improved it will be perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable and powerful tool for file synchronization and backup"
What do you like best about GoodSync?

I like that GoodSync offers a very wide range of features for file synchronization and backup while remaining relatively easy to set up. It integrates well with many storage providers, works reliably in the background, and once configured, it requires almost no manual intervention. For regular use, it feels stable and gives confidence that data is safe. Additionaly every time I need a support there is nor problem with that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodSync?

Missing the option to sync from one source to multiple targets and also lacking advanced tutorials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The good way to sync your server data to the Cloud"
What do you like best about GoodSync?

GoodSync is a great way to sync your files to the Cloud from an AWS bucket, Azure, M365, SharePoint, OneDrive, or Backblaze. This product can do almost everything and is easy to implement and use. I use it to run hot folders for sync to various locations, from the on-site server to the cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodSync?

So far, the only thing I would like to see in the product is that it runs as a service. If that is not there, I have not seen it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"reliable for years"
What do you like best about GoodSync?

We have been able to rely on Goodsync to either backup or synchronize our servers for over 10 years now. The tool runs itself once any exceptions are setup and schedules set. One less thing to worry about in my busy day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodSync?

I wouldn't necessarily call it a downside, but it does seem to have an update available to install at least 1-2 times per week. We always wonder why the tool is being updated so often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Rock-Solid Sync Solution with Unmatched Reliability and Control"
What do you like best about GoodSync?

GoodSync is a reliable and well-engineered file synchronization and backup solution built for users who care about data accuracy and control. It efficiently syncs data across local systems, external drives, servers, NAS, and cloud platforms. What stands out is its transparency—sync rules, logs, and conflict handling are clear and predictable, avoiding any hidden behavior. Performance is stable even with large datasets, and incremental syncing saves time and resources. The interface offers powerful configuration without unnecessary complexity. Support for multiple protocols and cloud providers adds flexibility. Overall, GoodSync is a mature, trustworthy product that prioritizes data integrity, reliability, and long-term usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodSync?

The user interface appears somewhat outdated and may feel overwhelming initially, particularly for those who are new to the software. While there are many advanced features that offer a lot of power, they are not always positioned in the most intuitive way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ten Years, Zero Issues"
What do you like best about GoodSync?

I’ve been using GoodSync for over a decade, and it has never let me down. The software does exactly what it promises every single time. From updating and backing up local drives to handling online backups, it works seamlessly. One of the things I value most is its ability to run flawlessly across multiple systems—no hiccups, no missed files, no stress.

If you’re looking for reliable, worry-free backup and synchronization, GoodSync is the gold standard. After ten years of daily use, I can confidently say it’s one of the most dependable tools I’ve ever invested in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodSync?

I don’t have anything negative to say about the features we use and I don’t use the other features so cannot speak to any dislikes I may have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"This program has made my work easier"
What do you like best about GoodSync?

Working for an MSP, I have to distribute USB drives and external drives to my team containing all of our troubleshooting tools. Having them centrally located on a server then using good sink to create quick identical copies of these discs is fantastic. I love that I only have to update the files in the server then have my users simply reconnect their drives for them to be automatically updated. Truly a huge timesaver Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodSync?

I would love to see a centralized "Team Account" where my team can log into a central portal on any computer and synchronize their drives against the centralized fileserver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid Program for transferring data"
What do you like best about GoodSync?

Goodsync is a great "set it and forget it" program to make sure data is transferred properly. We use it weekly for our work and it's super helpful. There are very few errors. Customer support is usually helpful and responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodSync?

There are some complications with setting up the "jobs," understanding the settings and how to get the software to do what you want. Integration feels like it has a steep learning curve; I think the program would benefit from a bit of a step by step to set up the job. It can also be a bit confusing to troubleshoot if something isn't working the way you'd like it to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"GoodSync succeeds where OneDrive fails"
What do you like best about GoodSync?

The most helpful component of GoodSync is the ability to blacklist specific file or folder names. This is invaluable when working with projects that contain 1000s of files from package managers such as NPM. The installation and initial setup is easy. The ability to control when syncing will happen is great as I sometimes have different needs for different folders on my device. I use GoodSync daily in my job and it has become an invaluable tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodSync?

In my 3 years of using GoodSync, so far I haven't encountered any major issues. When syncing large changes, it can often take long, but that isn't GoodSync's fault as I sync to a OneDrive cloud and I believe it has limits on how many requests can be made in a short amount of time.
