Ketch provides a very strong, enterprise-ready consent and preference management platform that integrates well with complex ecosystems like Salesforce. We use Ketch as the system of record for consent and privacy topics, while Salesforce acts as the source of truth for customer and patient data.

What stands out most is Ketch’s flexibility in handling consent topics, jurisdictions, and downstream enforcement. The API-driven model makes it possible to reliably sync consent changes across systems, and the auditability around consent decisions is excellent. This has been especially valuable for regulatory compliance and internal governance.

Some integrations require more engineering effort than expected, particularly around OAuth token lifecycle management and error handling. Retry logic and replaying failed consent events typically need to be implemented on the client side, which adds operational complexity.

The UI is functional but could be more intuitive in certain administrative areas, especially when managing large numbers of topics or troubleshooting integration errors. Better native tooling for retries and monitoring would significantly reduce support overhead.

I used Ketch for managing consent policies on the website and Google Tag Manager for Handshake. Ketch ensured that we are compliant across multiple regions without needing to fight technology and having one-offs/workarounds to support the same. The technical experience was clean and simple. I loved the on-page tag orchestration and setting it up in Google Tag Manager was really easy. The go-live event was smooth and seamless, and we were live in around 30 mins. Special mention to Joshua Grossman, who was our Ketch support system and guided us through our setup and journey. I find Ketch really easy to use from the back end based on my experience. The support we've received from the Ketch staff has been really great; they're easy to work with and easy to contact, making the experience seamless for us, which I really appreciate. I love that it's plug-and-play from my perspective as an account manager, allowing me to confidently reassure clients that their websites are secure and compliant. I don't have any really specific examples of dislikes because I don't have all the technical knowledge related to Ketch. If I had more detailed technical knowledge, I might have better feedback. I like that the UI is very clean and it's easy for a non-developer to understand and implement. Their support team and onboarding staff did a great job by hand-holding us through the whole process. They made sure we did the right testing before going live. I also thought Mike was really helpful as he followed up a few times post-go-live, checking in, and everything looks good. It's really easy to follow compliance guidelines in every jurisdiction, and Ketch makes it straightforward to manage user sessions. I like the way that Ketch simplifies everything. It makes building out consent much easier to understand and create something that works. The automation of DSAR requests is also something I appreciate, as it means I don't have to do them manually. This makes things a lot easier and saves a lot of time and effort. Once you know what you're going for in terms of the actual laws that are out there and your risk tolerance, setting things up in the account is very straightforward and I appreciated how it's easy to set thing up. The organization of the different sections in the UI is definitely hard to find things, and so I use the search bar constantly. I really like that Ketch is very easy to use and it has all the features we need. The interfaces are very intuitive, and their onboarding process was fantastic. They were there to assist us when needed, with our implementation specialist Josh being extremely knowledgeable throughout our implementation. The easy-to-deploy cookie banners and privacy settings include everything we'd expect, and the fact that, as laws and policies change, Ketch automatically makes updates for you is another great feature.
