"Real-Time Insights and Interactive Dashboards Elevate Analytics"
What do you like best about Looker?

I like how its interactive dashboards provide real-time drill-downs, ad-hoc queries, and access to row-level details on governed data. This enables us to gain quick insights and make decisions directly within our applications through embedded analytics. The graphical representations also help us clearly understand the details of our data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

Looker is a great app, but it uses its own modeling language, which can make it somewhat complex for new or non-technical users to learn. If Looker offered an easier learning guide, it would help users overcome this challenge. Aside from that, Looker is impressive overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Putting our analytics under one roof - Looker helped us bake it, not just stir it."
What do you like best about Looker?

What impressed me first is how Looker let us model our metrics once (using LookML) and the let everyone, from engineers to product leads to content folks use those same canonical definitions. The consistency cut down "which report has the right number?" arguments. The "self-service" fron-end and business users was a win: Once the data team defined the model, product/marketing folks could explore and build their own dashboards without needing to learn SQL - accelerating insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

While self-service aspect is strong onboarding non-technical users still required training: concepts like "views", "explores", "joins" are slightly abstract and some stakeholders got frustrated with what does this drop-down actually mean, moments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly with Robust Reporting Automation"
What do you like best about Looker?

I like Looker because it's very user-friendly and straightforward. It lets me easily create any kind of chart based on the data I have. If a chart isn't relevant, Looker won't give the data properly, which helps ensure accuracy. I can also easily modify reports, put tests, do comparisons between previous and current data, and add color coding. I can even put themes to align with brand guidelines, and those features are really helpful. Once reports are completed, I can download them into PDF format, which is great because it includes our brand guidelines, reports, charts, and everything. Overall, Looker has multiple features that I like and use regularly in my daily work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

I didn't see any major gaps so far, but one improvement I'd like is with handling screenshots. We often have to manually input them into Looker reports. If there could be a process to pull all screenshots into Looker and filter them like data, it would be great. I'm not sure if it's possible, but improving this aspect would help, especially for campaign reports where we need to show creative stats along with metrics. Automating the inclusion of images and screenshots would be a big help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent for Data Exploration Once You Get Past the Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Looker?

I like that Looker makes it easy to explore and understand data. LookML helps keep reports and metrics consistent, and the connection with Google Cloud makes managing data smoother. I also like that you can dig into the details right from dashboards to find insights quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

Looker can be hard to learn at first, especially with LookML. Some charts and visuals are limited, and it can slow down with big datasets. The interface isn’t always friendly for beginners, and setup usually needs help from a developer. Better self-service guides would also make it easier to get started. "Excellent LookML Governance and Seamless Embedded Analytics"
What do you like best about Looker?

Looker's semantic modeling layer through LookML provides excellent governance for our SaaS analytics. The ability to define metrics centrally and have them consistently used across dashboards reduces errors and saves significant development time. Integration with our PostgreSQL database on AWS is seamless, and the API access enables us to embed analytics directly into our product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

The learning curve for LookML can be steep for non-technical team members. While powerful, it requires SQL knowledge and understanding of data modeling concepts. The visualization options are more limited compared to dedicated tools like Tableau. Initial setup and deployment complexity can be challenging for smaller teams without dedicated data engineering resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transforms Data into Actionable Insights"
What do you like best about Looker?

I use Looker to analyze data across multiple sources and turn it into clear, actionable insights. I like how it makes complex data both accessible and actionable, and with custom dashboards and visualizations, I can see only the metrics and trends that I need, making it easier to monitor performance. It helps me create dashboards and build reports to track performance and monitor KPIs, which is great for answering business questions without needing constant support from data teams. This makes telling a compelling story with data for strategic conversations in sales a lot easier. Looker also solves the problem of fragmented and hard-to-access data by bringing everything into a single, trusted source of truth, eliminating the need to manually pull data from various tools or rely on ad hoc reports, saving time and reducing errors. I appreciate being able to pull up-to-date reports without waiting for manual exports or data teams to support, which ensures decisions are based on current information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

There's a bit of a learning curve at first, which can require a bit more education upfront to maximize all of its capabilities. In addition, some reports or dashboards can load a bit slower when working with very large data sets, which can sometimes cause delays if pressed for time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Data Connectivity, Room for Enhancement"
What do you like best about Looker?

I find Looker very useful and easy. It offers an easy way to access and connect with different platforms, which is a big plus. What I really like is that I don't need to create the report every time; it's just a matter of changing the date range to get the data. This makes it a one-time connection setup, which is super convenient for me. Overall, setting up Looker initially was quite easy, though a few more options with the UI would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

There is no way to connect it with presentation or convert it to a presentation. Management sometimes prefers slides more than PDF or creation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Looker: Seamless Reporting and Customization"
What do you like best about Looker?

I use Looker Studio to create visual reports for my clients and projects. It helps me create very interactive and easy-to-understand reports with various charts, graphs, and scorecards. I like its super easy, keen, and customizable interface. I also appreciate that it allows using offline data like Excel as a data source for making reports. It's a free tool, so there's no need for an official email or any subscription. The ability to visualize offline data by using different types of data built into CSV or Excel to create reports, dashboards, and summaries makes Looker Studio one of the most valuable report-building tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

I don't like that Looker doesn't allow direct connections to LinkedIn, Meta, or Facebook and requires external vendors for this, unlike Google platforms which can connect without any external subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowering Data Exploration with Robust Governance"
What do you like best about Looker?

I use Looker as a Business Intelligence and analytics tool to explore data and build dashboards and reports. I appreciate that it solves practical problems around visibility, consistency, and speed. Looker lets non-technical users safely explore data without breaking logic. What I like most is that it forces clarity and trust in the data, offering self-service without chaos and a live connection to the warehouse. A few things that genuinely work well are governance without killing flexibility and performance at scale. The initial setup was easy to understand and set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

A few things don't work as well, or could definitely be better with Looker. Explores can get overwhelming and performance tuning isn't always obvious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Data Retrieval, Needs Performance Boost"
What do you like best about Looker?

I like Looker's feature of sorting and filtering by date, time, and failure reasons, which makes it incredibly useful. It also helps a lot when I need to go back to history easily, especially with customer requests regarding provisioning dates and phone number issues due to cybersecurity concerns. Additionally, Looker can fetch older data, like going back 5 years, which is really helpful. The initial setup was very easy as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

Technical glitch was occurring every now and then and sometimes the application was too slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
