"Versatile CMS with Limitless Scalability but Needs UI Updates"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

I really like WordPress.org for its unmatched ecosystem. The plugin repository is a standout for me, offering access to thousands of free plugins. This means I rarely have to code standard functionality from scratch, and features like SEO, caching, security, and forms are all readily available. I also appreciate the full site editing. After a rocky start, the modern block editor has matured significantly, allowing me to edit headers and footers visually without touching PHP files, which is a huge time saver. The community support is excellent, with solutions and documentation available all over the internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

The interface could be improved. The admin interface hasn't fundamentally changed in a decade and desperately needs a native dark mode and a more modern, cleaner design. The media library needs an overhaul with folders, better tagging, and basic image editing features. Organizing thousands of uploads is currently a nightmare. The famous five-minute install is misleading. Setting up a secure, fast, and production-ready site takes hours and requires a lot of configuration. The learning curve can be frustrating if you have zero technical skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"More polished final product than other platforms."
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

There is a lot more versatility with plugins that are available. The friends I know who are still in the web design business are blowing my mind with the UX and UI they are able to create with Wordpress. I find my Wordpress websites generally easy to edit and manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

I am many years out of the web design business now, and I don't find it as straightforward to set up templates and systems as I used to. It's not so much of a dislike as it is a frustration of being behind in this website world. While the website I manage from other platforms are generally easier to manage, they lack the final polish of the Wordpress sites. I'd love to find a way to be able to work with my Wordpress sites with the same kind of ease. Customer support with Wordpress has not been as helpful as with other platforms. "Flexible, Scalable, and Fully Yours: Why WordPress.org Still Leads"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

WordPress.org is one of the most flexible and widely adopted content management systems available. It gives you full ownership and control of your website, supported by a huge ecosystem of themes, plugins, and developer resources. It works well for everything from simple blogs to more complex business websites, and with the right hosting and optimization it can scale significantly. Community support is excellent, and the platform keeps evolving while still staying accessible for non-technical users. For organizations that value customization, extensibility, and long-term control, WordPress.org remains a strong choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

Because WordPress is so popular and extensible, it can also be vulnerable when sites aren’t maintained properly. Over time, plugin conflicts, uneven theme quality, and outdated components can create performance slowdowns or security risks. It requires proactive updates, regular backups, and ongoing monitoring—especially for business-critical sites. Overall, the experience can vary widely depending on the hosting environment, the plugins you choose, and how well the site is planned and architected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Domains, Plugins, and Security with Seamless SEO Integration"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

What I like about Wordpress.com is the ability to choose a custom domain and username, add the plugins of your choice, customizable security options, the variety of features, and the ease of integration with plugins seamlessly to integrate with SEO and navigation systems. The Implementation process may have a bit of a learning curve, but worthy and steadfast once everything is set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

The user interface and page templates appear a bit outdated for the needs of 2026 and such. I wish there was more customer support for troubleshooting and options to choose from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Website Building with WordPress Plugins"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

WordPress is a great platform for website development. You can build a website in a short amount of time because the platform offers all the necessary templates and plugins. Essentially, it serves as a hub where all the features you need are available as plugins, making the process much more convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

To be honest, there isn't much to mention. However, if I had to point out something, it would be the issue of fake plugins. Occasionally, some plugins listed in the marketplace turn out to be fake, even though they appear to be functioning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unmatched Flexibility and Customization for Every Website Need"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

What I like best about WordPress.org is its flexibility and full ownership—you can customize everything, choose your own hosting, and build exactly what you need without platform limitations. Its massive ecosystem of themes, plugins, and developer support makes it scalable for anything from a simple site to a complex business platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

What I dislike about WordPress.org is that it requires ongoing maintenance—updates, security, and performance tuning aren’t hands-off and can be overwhelming for non-technical users. Poorly built themes or plugins can also cause conflicts, performance issues, or security risks if not managed properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is highly flexible, easy to customize, and offers thousands of themes and plugins that help create a professional-looking site without limitations. For Ruuraa Holidays, WordPress.org made it simple to add travel packages, design pages, optimize for SEO, and scale the website as the business grows. What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

I don’t really have any major dislikes about WordPress.org. The platform has been flexible, reliable, and supportive for everything I needed to build my website. As long as I manage updates and plugins properly, it works smoothly, so overall my experience has been positive with no significant downsides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, powerful, and client-friendly — the backbone of my web design business"
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

The flexibility to build anything from a simple brochure site to a full e-commerce store without being locked into a proprietary platform. As a web designer, I've built over 50 client sites on WordPress and the combination of Gutenberg, page builders like DIVI and WP Bakery, and the plugin ecosystem means I can deliver custom solutions quickly. Clients love that they can update content themselves without technical knowledge, and I love that I'm not rebuilding the same functionality from scratch on every project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

Plugin conflicts can be frustrating — especially when a theme update breaks something that was working fine. Security requires ongoing attention; clients who ignore updates often end up with compromised sites. The learning curve for complete beginners is steeper than hosted alternatives like Squarespace, which is why most of my clients prefer to have me handle the build and then just manage content updates themselves. What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

One downside of WordPress.org is that it can be overwhelming for beginners, as managing hosting, updates, security, and plugins requires technical knowledge and ongoing maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
