Sorry guys and girls, yes, you'll have to go there if you want to get rid of it once and for all.
In essence it means you have learned that you don't have permission to express yourself in all of your authenticity. You were appreciated for how you behaved, not for who you are.
Through trial and error, I have developed my own method to help people overcome such blocks. It all starts with identifying whose permission you're seeking and then, taking back control. (less)

Admittedly, I too still am a work in progress ;).
I never officially studied psychology, even though I very much wanted to when I went to university. Did I say yet, that I'm an expert in how we can hold ourselves back?
Now, however, I'm glad I didn't. It allowed me to freely explore all the information out there, just like a curious child would. I combined all sorts of disciplines, from archeology to the microbiome of our gut, from endocrinology to NLP and trauma therapy.
In my book I will share this holistic view of the subconscious, which will enable the reader to finally come to terms with it. (less)

The Books Behind We-Mind vs Me-Mind

Simon Baron-Cohen’s The Essential Difference: Men, Women and the Extreme Male Brain planted the seed for my We-mind vs. Me-Mind theory. It is a brave look at the scientific evidence behind the innate sex differences of the mind. I found it a riveting read, even if, after seven years of research, I came to disagree with Baron-Cohen that the essential difference is solely determined by sex/gender.
