Right well where do I start ??? The first 3 books in this series are absolutely brilliant. I mean I can not believe I've had these books on my shelf for 2 years and haven't read them. These are the best books I have read in years. The military fantasy genre has always baffled me abit but I can't wait for more. The story is great the classic good versus evil but with a nice twist. The characters in this series are really refreshing croaker the old grizzled physician is brilliant and the story is told from his POV. But Goblin and One-eye are funny as hell, they torment each other throughout the entire trilogy. I recommend this series to everybody and Glen cook is an absolute genius with the way he writes. I am moving straight on to the next omnibus The books of the south.

It's fantastic! I'm only just reading the series for the first time, too, but better late than never, right?

Yeh I have the most of the books. I'm really enjoying them so far. I'm up too shadows linger. I can't believe I have never read them before.
