it was ok

I have read SGJ before and really liked his style, but this one just wasn't for me. The writing was choppy and hard to follow. While the premise was promising and the characters were mildly interesting, it ultimately fell flat for me. Bummer.

Char That IS a bummer! I just reserved the audio of this at the library.

Glenn Rolfe Dang. This is my favorite novel of 2016. Loved every second of it.

Bill I was actually thinking about getting the audio too, Charlene, just to see if I liked it better as a listen.

I had super high hopes for this one, Glenn. It just never clicked for me. A lot of people love it. I probably read it wrong.

Glenn Rolfe I've been on the other end with books like THE FISHERMAN and DISAPPEARANCE at DEVIL's ROCK. People love 'em...me, not so much.

I was on the other end for A Head Full of Ghosts. It happens. :)

Bill It happens. I think timing has a lot to do with books too. Maybe my timing was off. Or maybe everyone else just read it wrong ;) haha

LOL!!! I've read many "wrong"--and had it pointed out--in my time! I honestly believe a lot has to do with the timing. Many of my early reads this year were 2.5-3 star, but now that things are settling down, I'm enjoying my reading more...
