Where do I start?
Well, first of all, I loved this. I lost my grandfather in September to cancer, so this story was sure to make me cry and stay with me on a personal level, and it did. It did everything that it promised, and it did even better. "But why did you take a half star then?" I hear you ask. I honestly don't know. Even though I highly enjoyed the characters, the plot, the writing style and the narrator, it just doesn't feel like a 5-star read.
I saw that some people felt like the book was trying too hard to give a "moral", a life lesson. For me, it didn't seem that way.
There's not much more to say than this was a beautiful book, and I cried. I believe most people will like this, especially if you like sad stories and even light fantasy with a life lesson in the end (but not really. You know what I mean)

I am sorry about your grandfather, I lost my Aunt to cancer last year as well. I know how much it hurts.

Wow I lost my grandfather figure last month. I haven't been able to pick up any book that I think will remind me of him. I am sorry for your loss and I feel your pain.
