it was amazing
Read 2 times. Last read August 1, 2021 to August 19, 2021.

Terse verse: sublime snapshots, capturing the distilled essence and inherent alchemy of objects and artefacts that are incidentally combined in a poise of the moment; of architecture and nature, the brutal, the benign; an overhead electrical cable the swift trajectory of a bird; speed of thought, slow descent of the sun. The world of things and their relationships with each other, captured with such direct immediacy yet more enigmatic and poignant for it. Ace.

Fionnuala Very readable paragraph! And the phrase, inherent alchemy of objects and artefacts that are incidentally combined in a poise of the moment goes so well with cover image, the trees poised on the slope and Brueghel's various hunter figures plus their dogs about to go down the hill towards home.

Ah yes, Fionnuala, the poignancy of the scene, the figurative with the narrative and the splendid geometry: the curving slope, the spindly trees and branches in relation to the matrice sprawl of the town. And thanks :)
