F this book. Why people continue to swoon over characters who treat them like dogshit is beyond my realm of thought. Especially since she's supposed to be someone who isn't the type of person who does one night stands. Yet here we are again- a story about a guy who apparently has the magical penis to make you throw your convictions out the window just because he's hot and wearing hospital scrubs.
Absolutely not.

Hi i don’t know if you’re gonna pick this book up again but Ryle isn’t the love interest—in fact the book isn’t a love story at all (well a little). I highly think you should reconsider picking it up again. the book is mainly about the truth about domestic abuse... if you’re into learning more about that, certainly consider giving it a go again! ☺️
I agree and despite still listening to the audiobook, I wish I’d stopped early on. It’s a very frustrating read.

Omg exactly!! Why was everyone rooting for Kyle?? His first words to her was literally ‘I want to fuck you’ like hello?? That’s a major red flag
There's a plot twist, I was so ready to hate this book and I didn't like I usually hate this type of romance but I didn't because of what happened, please read on We all hate ryle, trust me, his name, his face , everything. its worth the bad stuff

FR! Like how in the world did he even bring himself to say that to her "I want to have sex with you and when we're done I never want to see you again" like sir- she really lowered her standards because the sex was that good. I doubt it. This book was terrible.

I agree. Love bombing and glorifying stalking / abuse. I am only confirming to read in hopes that there is a storyline about identifying abuse.
To everyone in the comments: please read more of the book before deciding your opinion on it! I was frustrated as well at first, but don’t worry, this book is about abuse and this guys actions are not seen as ok.
Or people can just DNF and that is fine too.

Life is too short and there are more books to read.
I’m on page 90 & I’m this close 👌🏾 to not finishing it. Like the characters feel fifty shades of grey I’m forcing myself to finish it but I really don’t understand how anyone could like it at this point.
Noooo please finish the book before forming an opinion on it. It’s not that kind of book I promise.

I feel like this was part of the plot. you can see his red flags and pushy behavior towards the beginning, but blind it with the fact that it’ll make you swoon. and then later on towards the story you see the changes in the behavior, etc. It is not that kind of book, i’ve read it twice.

maybe you should just finish the book. his actions arent justified and the red flags are shown from the beginning, he's a literal abuser. the unhealthy amount of sex was literally one of the reasons their relationship was doomed

But not this type.
💯 this! Are we supposed to find this cretin endearing? Is it supposed to be better that he’s a sex pest because he’s a neurosurgeon? Awful.
It’s all about Lily’s story, it gets so much better. You just gotta ignore Ryle throughout and focus on Lily’s story
