That feeling when you leave a book for a while and when you come back to it, you've forgotten so many kanji...tangorin's lists died on me so now I do excel lists. But hey, a change of tack seems to be doing wonders: skim the page in advance, make a list of unknown kanji, and then enjoy actually reading it.
I'm looking forward to this long story that Haida's father told him.
The narrative frame is becoming more entangled by the page!

"シンガポールは面白いところよ。"Not so much if you're gay, though. If you are, you risk being sent to jail since homosexual acts are illegal. But hey, fun place, I'm sure. Don't sell or chew gum either.
