Quit at 46%. I struggled to get involved in the story and failed to develop any interest in the characters at almost 1/2 way through the book. The dialog between the characters was odd and felt disjointed. Really it felt so weird to this reader. I was left at this stage in the book still not sure what the book was about. When it started with some secret spy group story that just didn't fit at all for me, I lost all interest. I should have quit sooner but I loved this author's other series, but this is not in that style at all.

"This book is weird. I'm still not sure what it's about. Sure I picked it up blind based on author and never read the blurb. Still is this a mystery ? I'm currently reading it, and while I am enjoying it, I can see why it can be confusing. The author's note and acknowledgements help explain the book better than the synopsis on goodreads. Hope your next read will be better :)
Yeh I love her previous works but this one just wasn't a good fit for my taste in reading. Thanks ^^. I enjoyed her Graceling realms series (just finished it this year), but Ja e Unlimited is definitely different and weird X'D
