** spoiler alert ** 2.75 stars

Despite all odds I enjoyed this book.
The heroine wasn't a doormat and apart from her going back to her 'obligations' at the end + her attempt to make it good with her ex, she was ok!

Color me surprised, but I liked the hero too. It was amazing how he lusted after her, I like when men not only 'play cool', but show their feelings. His obsession with the heroine was hot. And he came to her at the end, he fought for her! *swoon*

If not for unplanned pregnancy and him telling her, that her pussy would miss her new daddy πŸ™„πŸ˜–πŸ™„ (meaning his penis), I would have rated it with 3.5 stars.

Ellie Ugh. Thanks Alex. Another writer to add to my 'hell no' list.

Glad I could help, Ellie! But compared to average contemporary romance this book and MCs were ok, better than ok. I'm not into daddy-crap, it makes me laugh, here it came from nowhere 🀣🀣🀣. Unplanned pregnancy is another topic... But overall better than the average. IMO.

Ellie Babies in romances kind of ruin it for me. I have a 12 yo and he's my life, but I'm here to tell you there's nothing romantic about pregnancy and raising wee ones. Which is why I've been single for 9 years 🀣

Dilek VT Eww, thank you for the warning, Alex, the last paragraph seals the deal for me ! Great review!

Thanks, Dilek!
Glad I could help. At least she wasn't a virgin paired with an experienced man - that plot I couldn't stand.

Don't tell me about it, so do I. I never prefer that match, either.

Although lately, I liked Medicine Man, despite this trope. But I would never recommend it to you, nope :)

A Klue Does the unplanned baby drama involve the heroine and her ex...or her and the hero...or the hero and some OW??

The heroine got pregnant with hero's child. Unplanned though.

Leo (Queen of the Rants and Spoilers) Ah, those pesky faulty birth controls and the miracles when the heroines can’t get pregnant. Gotta love those authors they’re very original. πŸ™„πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€£

Thanks for letting me know, hon. I was afraid it was one of those where the MC are finally making progress as a couple...Just to have a woman knock on his door with "Surprise, you're a baby daddy!" I hate that setup.

Lol. I know what you mean! Fortunately it wasn't the case with this book. I don't like that trope too, especially how easy the heroines accept those surprise babies...

Birth control in romance fails so often, that I ask myself if it even worth to try it 🀣🀣🀣
