it was amazing
bookshelves: children, fiction

This was a beautiful, gentle story that translated into a magnificent cartoon with music but without words that airs on tv every Christmas in the UK. This book was a real sea change for Briggs whose previous cartoon books include a doleful biography of his parents to their death, nuclear war and creatures that love boogers - much more dark humour than this magical tale of the snowman.

Ronyell I loved this book!!! I especially loved the cartoon version of this book! Have you seen the cartoon version of this book?

Wendy Darling Petra, I've loved the book and the film for a long time, but last year, a British friend of mine finally showed me a YouTube clip that has David Bowie (of all people!) introducing the cartoon for UK audiences. I never in a million years would have pictured him in a holiday sweater, hah!
