Oh my goodness...what a heartbreaker. Bring your tissues to this one readers. This is Marie Force at her best - manipulating readers and characters' emotions with a heart wrenching plot line of a love torn apart by one man's dedication to secretly serving his country and a woman's attempt to move on with her life after hearing nothing from the man she loves for five long years. There's really no way to talk about this story without spoiling the ending and the plot of the following book so I won't. I'll just say Force delivers a gut-wrenching, emotional story with an ending that sent me straight into book 2 One Year Home, and I'm loving it even more than Five Years Gone. Highly Recommended!
