So very impressed with this book. It could easily be taught in a contemporary literature class. As I read this, I stopped being conscience I was reading, and instead in my mind I was a part of this story. As soon as I got done I used my Kindle to buy the rest of your books on Amazon.

Well let me say as a reader there is no greater joy than a book that makes you feel a part of the story. I am actually sad I finished it. You know it is a good book as you get closer and closer to the end you cannot put it down, but you don't want it to be over. I am actually jealous of people who still can look forward to the pleasure of reading it for the first time. No my daughter is reading it too.

That is actually how I got started reading YA literature. I was looking for things to put on her Kindle that were worth reading and we could discuss. I was amazed at how much the genre has changed since my youth. Now I am a 52 year old male, hardly the YA target market, but I am hooked. There is a lot of really, really good work being done in YA. Sarah Dessen, Sarah Ockler, Sara Zarr (What is going on with all these Sarah's? LOL) Jenny Han and now you. I've also discovered, through Goodreads some of them, some really quality up and coming young writers like Lindsay Paige and Shirley Miranda.

I'm going to see to it that your books get added to our local Library's collection (I'm Chairman of our Library Board) as well. We have a great YA collection, and even a special part of the library just for teens. I spend a lot of my effort there and with early literacy, you can make such a difference then. I'll add them to the teen book club and things like that as well. I'm really so very impressed with your work.

PS, I also taught women's self defense in my youth, so I really identified with Lucas in some ways.

Hi Tammarra I have to echoe all the sentiments above - its nice to read a novel that tackles a difficult subject so well, should be required reading in all high schools! Have just started on Between the lines and I am really enjoying this series too - Finished number one, and then mistakenly read Good For You next instead of Where you are - but have to say that once your know the characters from the first book it didn't seem to matter, they read like standalones - I though God For You was particularly good, and I am now starting the 2nd book in the series. Can you tell me what you are working on next after Easy?

BTW the term "Lawn Mower" will make me cringe for the rest of my life. LOL

Mel - I'm planning another BTL, but have a couple of other projects in mind as well. I have a personal dislike of cliffhangers, so I tried not to end any of the BTL books that way; they're rather self-contained. There are unanswered questions, but then, all books have unanswered questions - there's always a "what's next?" unless everyone dies and the world explodes. And I'm not planning to write that. Yet. :)

Brilliant news Tammarra - yes I know what you mean about Cliffhangers - some authors are positively evil with them and its even worse as a reader when you have to wait over a year for the next book to come out! (I do appreciate the creative process of writing a book and getting it out isn't a quick thing - but some cliffhangers just make the waiting painful rather than that love excitement/anticipating feeling you get knowing the story is going to continue). So glad you are continuing with BTLs! - any chance you might do a book tour in UK?
