it was amazing

"Stories are the wildest things of all, the monster rumbled. Stories chase and bite and hunt."

There is nothing I can say that will even remotely do this book justice.

How is it even possible to write to the extent that it spills with emotion? How can so much feeling, so much heartache, so much beauty, so many emotions be packed in one single story?

It's unfair. Life's unfair - and so is Patrick Ness while I'm at it. It's unfair that I read the last page, the last lines over and over till I felt the emptiness- the loss, till I couldn't take it anymore and I had to put it down. It's unfair that Ness wrote such a beautiful novel with so much feeling and he expects us to part with it when we're done. It's unfair that somewhere out there, this is happening right now.

I hate that I love this story so much.

I wish I could hold Conor and tell him it's okay even if it really isn't. Of course it isn't.

I think this book and the emotions that accompanied it will forever be retained in my memory. And not being able to forget is the most unfair thing of all.
