Reread. Sweet, funny and emotional. Trademark of JM.
Absolutely one of the most emotionally satisfying endings and epilogue in a historical romance (for me anyway).
I wish there where more books/authors that gave as much detail, closure, emotion to the ending of a love story's like JM.
Loved Ian and Elizabeth and their love story, so touching, moving, sad, affecting and poignant!!!!

“Because,” he said quietly as she stood up, “until you walked into it, this was an ordinary garden.”
Puzzled, Elizabeth tipped her head. “What is it now?”
“Heaven.”

I loved Ian so much. Loved him and Elizabeth though I didn’t find her as compelling and endearing as Alexandra was in Something Wonderful. Oh the Townsendes being related to both Ian and Elizabeth made me 😍. It was so good to see them appear in the book. Anyways, I definitely agree with you. JM knows how to give as much “detail, closure, emotion to a love story’s ending”. She’s a superb story teller. Something Wonderful and Almost Heaven are my absolute faves. ❤️❤️

Wasn't his just a beautiful and emotional romance. And the ending was beautiful, totally great. Also one of my favorite. 😊
Sweet review Esther. I’m re-reading JM these days as well (thanks for her books showing upIn my feed). I recall Almost Heaven as one of my favorites too but haven’t re-read it in several years. Will have to see how I feel about it now. Thanks for the reminder of these sweet memories.
Great review, Esther! Man, can she write. So sad she hardly writes any longer and then only contemporaries. I love her historical books. She is a favorite author.

This is my favourite historical romance novel ever and I've read it so often that I can't keep track 😂. I wish today's authors would write stories that are half as good as this.Great review, Esther! : )

I miss her so much Carmen, no one touches her or Julie Garwood in writing romances.
And thank you.
