did not like it

I simply couldn't suspend my disbelief. Ana's beliefs about herself were too modern, she was too perfect, there were too many obvious fallacies and inaccuracies for a 'well-researched' book, and I found myself rolling my eyes every time she showed up at YET ANOTHER significant historical event, while remaining largely silent on her husband's activities?

Yeah.

Stephanie Yes, but isn't that the point of historical fiction?

Katie Agreed. This lacked any real depth.

Jenny Totally.

Marcia Boring.

Marcia Complete waste of time. Boooooring.

message 6: by Linelle (new) - added it

Linelle Incredible how she showed up just in time for the crucifixion.

message 7: by Sar (new)

Sar Try The Dovekeepers for a deeper and more satisfying untold woman’s bible story. Agree with all the commenters on this one. Couldn’t finish it

Nico Nico Ni I just started this and it feels so wrong

Judi Anderson Thank you. This is what turned me off after I gave in and suffered through some 700 pages (I think it was) of the Outlander first book. "Many people were saying" it was wonderful and the books were must-read.
Yeah. No.
Thanks for taking one for the team.

Christine Margetic Agreed...on all counts

Rambling Reviews @sar I’ve read the dovekeepers and it’s far superior to this. It had depth and pain and joy and felt real.
