Hah hah, really? People seem to love it or hate it, so I've been waffling about it. BOTH of you urging me on, though...

GET ON THIS, WOMAN! I stayed up all night two nights in a row reading the first two books. The third one comes out in December, and the date is now circled in a heart on my calendar (just kidding) (or am I).

Steph, I was on the fence about it because of Reynje's review and then I saw you liked it and figured I'd take my chances. And now I feel giddy and obsessed and also a little bit annoyed because I can't get Shadow on Kobo yet. Life is pain.
Yeah, that's why I put it on the back burner too. It has it's issues, but it's such a fun read! And boo that you can't get it on the Kobo. :( Opal will be here soon!
I just got the Nook version anyway. I'll read it on my phone. I'm too impatient.I'm so glad Opal comes next month; most of my books aren't released until February and I wasn't sure my little heart could take that long of a wait for this one, as well.
I was in a good mood when I read Obsidian. Normally, I would have found some stuff to pick on. Kind of like Twilight (sorry haters). It wasn't a literary masterpiece, but it was definitly entertaining. I enjoyed Onyx. Katy gets to learn some but-kickin' skillz :) I've asked my library to purchase the 3rd book a few times. Did it not come out Dec 2012? How can they not have the complete series? I'm impatient. If I do ILL requests (the ILL system is a blessing from heaven)I get the book I want faster. BUT. Purchase requests benefit more people. I really think YA readers need to see all those flashy new release covers & have a big selection. I've been finding that libraries struggle with their YA selection unless they have a librarian who's into reading it.
