Okay...let me just say, I stopped caring about this series past omen of the stars. As a general rule, the new books suck. Everyone I cared about died like ten books ago, and honestly? I think the Erin Hunter team is trying too hard at this point. I forgot Broken Code was even finished, not that it or Vision of shadows was great. I did like some of the newer super editions, though. But I'm probably not going to read this. I've been a fan of Warriors for a while now, but it's not like it used to be :/. Okay granted I still say "StarClan." So don't get me wrong, I love the older ones. I just don't see how this one could possibly be worth my time.

Allie Zanieri-Hale Why give it a 1-star review if you're only going to make assumptions like that? It seems unnecessary

Lilly S Fair point. If I ever do end up reading it I suppose I can change the rating if my thoughts change. However mainly I just saw this book and wanted to write my thoughts about it although I haven't read it. This review allowed me to do that. Also, simply based off the quality of writing in the newer warriors books, it is only logical that this one won't be as good as the old ones. You don't have to agree. And no, I don't think it was unnecessary. Regardless of my thoughts on the book sharing opinions can prompt discussions. And that's more or less one of the purposes of Goodreads, isn't it?

Sonia I guess so, but it's probably better, really (though I liked the Broken Code a lot) and I guess you could have given no rating, I don't judge you, it's okay, I only brought it up.

Pinchy I can completely understand you but its not right that you gave one star on this book just because you think all the new books suck.
Tbh the broken code is really good, even if so many old characters already died. I mean we have to accept that everyone will die in the future. But I still think that the erins slowly "destroying" warrior cats with new books. I really understand you but please don't give unnecessary reviews on something you haven't read. (I hope I don't sound rude or something like that :'))

Sonia @Pinchy I totally agreed with you, but I wouldn't exactly say "destroying" I mean I still love the serie even if it seems like an alien invasion, honestly.

Pinchy @Sonia Yes I didn't know how to explain that :') I also still love the series but sometimes it doesn't feel right that the series is that long xD

Sonia Yeah, it's kinda weird. Sometimes my classmates ask me "How long is Warrior Cats?" and I don't know if they would feel strange if I say the truth😂

Pinchy "Ah, Just a few hundred books" 😊
But I can't Imagine the feeling reading the last warrior cats book ever... Thats going to be so painful :')

Lilly S @Pinchy yeah I see your point I just couldn't think of another way to get my thoughts across. If I ever do end up reading it I might have to change this. Glad to see that this sparked a conversation, though. Don't get me wrong, I love Warriors I just don't like what it's slowly becoming. It feels like they're just trying too hard at this point.

Katie Don't rate a book if you haven't read it.

Lilly S Well, then. I genuinely just couldn't think of another way to get my thoughts across but to write a review...but if this is really bothering so many people I might as well just delete the review. But just for the record, I've never had this many people comment on something on goodreads before so I guess that's cool?

Sonia I guess you really must be feeling good if you have so many comments😂, and I understand because I would feel the same way, so it's really okay.

Sonia Though, I also get how other feel (including me, about reviewing this book, don't get me wrong) , but in case you ever change your mind, you can change your rating and put no rating AND keep your review. I think you can change it even if you first rated it, so you can still have every comment✨👌

message 14: by Lilly (new) - rated it 1 star

Lilly S Yeah, if I do end up reading the book I'll probably change it anyway. Or not. We'll just see. If I ever get a chance to even find the book...because I couldn't even find the rest of Broken Code anywhere lol. Didn't even have a chance to finish that.

Sonia I really liked the Broken Code (even if, you probably saw, a lot of people really hate this book because of a scene that all Warrior Cats fans should be already okay with it, this often has happened in Warrior Cats). I understand that they didn't want it to happen, I didn't want it either, but such a small thing, just a page, shouldn't be taken like "The part that ruined Warriors" because how can a page actually destroy 100 books? I hope you will try to continue the Broken Code arc and probably even A Starless Clan, because I must admit that I'm really looking forward to what you will think about the books and if you could change your mind :')

Lilly S You seem like a nice person :). But yeah I see your point, especially if it's just one page. If I ever do get the chance to read the rest of broken code I'll let you know what I think. I was actually kinda invested in it, I just couldn't make myself be super invested in some of the characters.

Lilli._.Lemons this book was a little diffrent. It was still the same old warrior cats that I love, but I would give it a try. There are cats in this arc (sunbeam) that I relate to intirely because I am going through something very simular right now.

Sonia Lilly S already explained her point

Sonia I know and I totally agree with you👍🙂 I only said it in case if you ever wondered why Lilly S rated the book without reading it. I said she explained her point. And by that I don't say I don't agree with you...
