THIS BOOK WAS SO WORTH THE HYPE ALL YOU GR FRIENDS OF MINE GAVE IT.
What a story. What writing. What atmosphere. What characters. What heartbreak.
Kristin Hannah did it again and wrote such a lyrical and moving novel. However, CW: IPV, DV, parental loss, murder. There are a lot of heavy topics throughout the book and some of them are difficult to get through as a survivor of DV, but it was good (for me, anyways) to see the females take care of the situation themselves.
Despite the horrors, there is so much beauty to be found in this book as well. The friendships. The delicate landscape. I want to visit Alaska now that much more!
5 well-deserved stars. I would recommend EVERYONE read this.
