I haven't read the Reckless Damned series by Lark Taylor so this is my first paranormal book by the author and I love love LOVE it so much! Full to the brim of pain and heartbreak, I was not ready to be hurt like that! I could not imagine having to do what Ferry did in order to be with Leo, waiting so long to be with him over and over again. I love a good story rooted deep in mythology with Ferry's fate ferrying dead souls over the river Styx for over 4000 years. Ferry and Leo are clearly meant to be and whilst their road to happy ever after is far from a fairy tale, the fact they continued to push through all obstacles and external factors to be together was so marvelous. Packed with a dose of angst and beautiful character development, I could not put this down for even a moment, and I cannot wait for the next book!
