WOW. What an amazing, intriguing and mind-blowing story... It managed to captivate my entire attention from the moment I started reading it. Breach is a dark, gritty, emotional, realistic and heartbreaking story. And above all that, this book is OFF THE CHARTS HOT!!! Seriously. Keep a bucket of ice nearby because you're going to need it.

Delilah Palmer --


Delilah Palmer is just an ordinary woman. Or at least, that's what she wants the outside world to believe. The last few years she's spent working her ass off as a lawyer at the Holloway and Holloway Law firm. There, everyone seems to fall for her good girl with an introvert character - act. No one knows about the pain and humiliation she suffered through as a child. She's been able to hide those tormenting memories behind a well preserved mask.

But when Nathan Thorne becomes her new colleague, the two of them have to work very closely together in their shared office. At first, they hate each other. Nathan constantly teases her, while she tries to give him the cold shoulder. But after a while, they realize they have a lot more in common than they ever expected. It turns out, Lila isn't the only one hiding behind a mask...

"Hollywood had nothing on us. Awards could be given for the lies we told, and the feelings we hid under a mask of hate and indifference."

After a while they seek comfort in each other. At night, they try to escape the harshness life has to offer, by drowning themselves in each other the only way they know how. But, during the day, the masks have to stay intact, because the firm they work for has a very strict non-fraternization policy and if the secret of their affair would come out, they might both lose the job they worked so hard for. Still, whenever their together in their own private world, they make each other forget about their past and focus on the present.

"Nathan did that. He made me feel what I hadn't felt before: wanted, desired, beautiful, sexy. To him, I was all of those. He made me start to think all I'd been led to believe was a lie. He was filling a void. I would give him anything he wanted. It was twisted and unhealthy, but I didn't care."

Nathan Thorne is a man with a broken past. To this day, he's still haunted by the terrible events that happened to him years ago. We don't really learn what happened to him exactly, but it must have been something awful. And as if the memories alone weren't bad enough already, the scars on his body are still a daily reminder of what that awful event must have been.

"Nathan had scars on the outside to match the scars he held on the inside, where as mine were all inside."

However, Nathan knows exactly how to hide his haunted past. With his good looks and charm he manages to fool the entire office into believing he's just an easygoing, carefree guy that everyone can't help but love. But underneath all of that, he hides a dark side that only Lila manages to reveal...

There's no better dirty talker than Nathan Torne... The things that come out of his mouth are just...phew!! HOT. Other than that, he can be rough, possessive and hard to handle, but minutes later he can be the complete opposite; sweet, caring and understanding. He doesn't know how to express himself with words so he uses his body to address his feeling towards Lila. And although she might seem like an innocent, breakable girl; she's far from it. She knows exactly how to handle herself in the dirty talk department.

Breach isn't only a a sexual discovery for both of the main characters, it's most importantly a deeply emotional adventure. In this story we follow the journey of two people, being accustomed to keeping up appearances and hiding behind masks. But when they're together, the masks come off and both of their deepest and darkest secrets are revealed to each other...

Nathan and Lila are two tortured souls with a haunted past. They're both the same...broken. They are both equally messed up which why they are so perfect for each other. No one has ever understood them better than they understand each other. But the question is, is understanding each other enough? Is it enough to fix the problems they have?

Towards the ending, the story became more intense and grittier. The whole time I was reading it, I had a feeling something was about to go wrong. And let me just say, the first part of this series does not end with a happily ever after. There was kind of a cliffhanger but I wouldn't exactly let it hold you back from giving this story a try because to me, it turned out to be an ABSOLUTE MUST READ.

Overall, Breach was a very well written, unforgettable story that I absolutely LOVED reading. It was a fast-paced story and a real page-turner. I could not stop reading it! And well, because of how it ended, the sequel cannot come fast enough...
