5 stars !....this is on the mount Olympus of romantic literature....I did not want this book to end....beautiful in its detail, characterizations of depth and a story so rich in both hope and melancholy....at times I could not see the text as my eyes were so full of tears....wowowow....I will return to this book if I ever become doubtful of true romantic love.

Do you think Rochester has real, true romantic love for Jane? (I wish he did, but I'm not sure it's the case.)

this is one of my all time favorites. it's got real depth and the characters are so real 😊

Karen I am not so much into Classics anymore...I read quite a few in my youth and there are a few I still want to read but really not that many !
I will always adore Anna Karenina though and read it again and again lol !
I agree, maybe Rochester doesn't have such noble heart like Jane but, god, Rochester is a human being, Jane is simply divine!
