Final rating: 3/5 stars
I will not write a long and detailed review for this book, as i lost my original review in PC crash, and im too tired to rewrite it whole again.
Now, to get on the point - i am a fan of John Green. I love his writing style. But, this time, it felt like i was rereading his Looking for Alaska and TFIOS at the same time, minus the tragedy parts. It felt that way mostly because of the characters. And even so, the only thing that bothered me the most about this whole book was exactly the main character.
Quentin Jacobsen is head over heels in love with Margo Roth Spiegelman, but has never made a move. He would do anything for her. And that is the problem - his "love" towards her made him blind to everything - his whole life, and everything he is, spun around Margo.
I felt no connections with the main character, or for that matter, with the side characters, at all. And that is a big minus from me.
I had high expectations from this book, and yet, it just felt bland, but it was not boring. It's just that after a while it felt like a chore to finish the book, but overall, it was a nice read.
◈ Paper Towns
◈ Looking for Alaska
◈ The Fault in Our Stars
“If you don't imagine, nothing ever happens at all.”

I remember this book! Mostly, I remember the reason why I did not finish it was because I also felt no connections to the characters. So tragic everytime it happens. XD

Yes, i feel the lack of connection with the characters to be the biggest disappointment when it comes to books. If you read a story, which is great, but dislike or feel no connection with characters, in certain time you will get bored and lose interest in it. Just reading the story,or watching it, will become a chore for you.At least this is how it is in my case.
