it was ok
bookshelves: young-adult, pnr

I can sum this book up in one sentence: Beautiful writing that cannot make up for the Twilight-esque depiction of creepy love interest and boring main character.

I would, however, happily try out some of the author's other work and I just hope it doesn't focus so heavily on obsessive emo teen love.

Kelsi Try The Scorpio Races. It's really good and there was very little romance in it. :)

Diana-christie Biancardi That was the best part in this book, the romance!

Drew Salas You have to read the Raven Cycle!!
It so much better than this series.

Likes To Read I'd ALMOST recommend Scorpio Races. Even though I rated it 2.5 stars, it might be up some people's alleys. If it helps it's about bloodthirsty horses that come out of the sea.

Shree Balasubramaniyan The Raven Cycle is a fantastic series. The first book is a little confusing and mostly an introduction, but even that book itself is so fun to read and the further down the series the better it gets. The characters in TRC are so interesting and it’s so different from Shiver that it’s weird to think the same author wrote these series
